  • My music is augmented.

  • oh man, I so badly want that mixed picture <3

  • @roverdeity print screen it then, prtscr key, upper right

  • Should be called Deu sEx

  • funny thing is HR occurs before Deus Ex (2000)

  • @Killarila No shit, HR happens in 2027, Deus Ex happens somewhere 2050ish

  • @kamilfreeman and many people dont know that :P

  • @kamilfreeman OH LOOK, IT'S THIS FAGGOT AGAIN. Just get the fuck out, you don't know shit about videogames moron.

  • @Slapmaster5000 Oh look, it's this raging motherfucker again.

    Need some Baby butt aid?

  • @kamilfreeman What was that loser? Oh wait, you never did reply to the last thing I said on that video did you? You're a shitty troll, just go jump off a bridge, or are you too stupid to do that even? "baby butt aid", you still have some shitty comebacks and nothing to back anything you say up. HALO 1 = CALL OF DUTY CLONE AMIRITE LOLOLOL? You're stupid, 10 years of fps history isn't important at all though right? What a stupid little fucking faggot, get out of your moms basement.

  • @Slapmaster5000 Hold on, i'll grab a whole shipment of baby's butt aid.

  • @kamilfreeman Lol, still failing, HARD. "I'll repeat the same comeback over and over with a failed result every time because I'm too stupid to come up with anything intelligent." You're just a dumb fucking kid, that's a fact, now get back to your faggy xbox where your little bitch ass belongs.

  • @Slapmaster5000 I'm too calm to rage like you.

  • Not bad.

  • Oh my god JC, an awesome song.

    A SONG

  • Human Revolution is so shitty

  • @hellomoto75 Your opinion only.

  • @FieryPhoenix7 The fact of anyone with taste, kid.

  • @hellomoto75 Not really. Did you even play it? Was fine. Cry more bitch.

  • @moldyskittle Yes really, deny it all you want fankid. And get some taste while you're at it.

  • @hellomoto75 I want you to go into detail please. What did you not like? It had its flaws, but I didnt think it was a bad game at all. Also, you cannot call it "a fact of anyone that had taste" you can hate the game all you want, but don't call it a fact please.

  • @gman5852 Simple, the entire game is garbage.

  • @hellomoto75 Ok. Now can you go into detail why you believe it is garbage? If anything it will get the "fanboys" to stop commenting to you because you would have reasons.

  • @gman5852 Read: the entire game is garbage, fanboy

  • @hellomoto75 Don't know how I can be a fanboy if I want you to be specific. But ok, if you refuse to just say why you dislike it, Ill just assume you couldn't beat the bosses(which are garbage) and just say it all sucks. Thanks for looking like an idiot on the internet :)

  • @gman5852 More rambling nonsense from the dumb fanboy, get over it. The game sucks.

  • @hellomoto75 Looooooooooooooooooooooool. Quit yo' trolling, boy

  • @tehPWNINATOR Does the truth sting fankid?

  • @hellomoto75 It's ok to not like things, but you don't have to be a dick about it.

  • @hellomoto75 You never played it. Clearly. I love Deus Ex 1 and HR. You are a faggot and nobody likes you.

  • @moldyskittle Haha pathetic fanboy is so so mad over the truth, grow up and get some taste.

  • @hellomoto75 Still your opinion.

  • @FieryPhoenix7 Still in the opinion of non fankids.

  • Paul Denton is the older twin of J.C. Denton; whom both are related to Adam Jensen via DNA....Alex Denton is simply along for the ride....

  • I never asked for this

  • @thelegacyization I asked for this*

  • Deus Ex fans, play the original with smexy new HI DEFINITION textures on PC now =D

Deus Ex GOTY + New Vision texture pack + HDTP texture pack + a bit of configuration = absolutely jaw-droppingly awesome.

What a shame that not enough people know about it.

  • @jcdenton2k REQUEST FOR LINKS !!!

  • @TheRedCaptain:

    JustFuckingGoogleItYouNoob

    :P

  • @jcdenton2k I REQUESTED LINKS, CAN YOU READ, BIATCH ?

  • @jcdenton2k

Thanks for that. I'll have to check that stuff out. Deus Ex was a masterpiece.

  • Technical Advancement: when promo art for first game looks worse than in-game screenshot from sequel.

  • The top comments are really top comments because they aren't replies.

  • Games designers need to take more risks, all the big games this season have let me down in different degrees, don't know if im just letting nostalgia cloud my judgement but it seems nothing that comes out anymore really moves me like the old titles.

  • in 1:06 the comparison looks really nice

  • cool fan track.

  • DX2 and DX3 were insults to the original, only reason DX3 gets such high praise is because console kids are used to getting a lot worse.

  • @otester OK I agree with the DX2 statement, but DX:HR I feel is true to the original game and has the same vibe as it, and the reason why DX:HR gets high praise from alot of people including the big name reviewers is because it is great, including on the PC so dont blame the console people.

  • @davesanti

It isn't through, it just isn't as shit as DX2.

Also ignore "big name reviewers", they get paid off, reason why I downloaded and didn't buy the game was because the developers said 9/10 for pre-review or no more pre-releases for you.

  • @otester Well even people in general liked the game including me, and you know what they say majority rules, its cause of that reason I got the game in the first place, but whatever your opinion is yours and mine is mine.

  • @davesanti

Unfortunately you're right, the majority does rule, hence everything is going down the drain, not just the economy but video games :(

  • @otester ITS A CONSPIRACY!!111!

    Fucking idiot.

  • @otester Or because the critics aren't clouded by nostalgia like you. I played the original years ago, and I think Human Revolution is amazing.

  • @hellomoto75 it's better that Deus Ex 2 thow :D

  • @Glaursian

    Not really

  • @hellomoto75 oh stop. It's not like its the new xcom game coming out.

  • @manhackmatt

    It's worse

  • @hellomoto75 You're crazy. Human Revolution was an amazing game, and it's very much like the original Deus Ex. The only odd part of it that didn't feel like Deus Ex were the boss battles, which makes up a tiny part of the entire game.

  • @smokejaguar01

    and the gunplay

and the aug system (ie: DX augs and skills had consequences, when I finished HR I was only missing eight Praxis points)

and Jensen being such a douche where JC let you define the character

and the lack of a 'Man Who Was Thursday' companion text, they could have used The Tempest perfectly

and the ridiculous plot that felt like it was only just getting started when it suddenly ended in a fit of crazy

and the dumb level design; air vent or corridor? BS

  • @DuddBudda Those complaints are all subjective (and pretty retarded, I say). The game is really well made. Your judgement is clouded by nostalgia.

  • @AliG4life

Build quality of most games today is very high, doesn't mean the game play is good.

  • @otester And just because the ''build quality'' is very high doesn't mean the gameplay is BAD either. The Human Revolution gameplay is almost exactly like the original Deus Ex, except with more stealth. The only thing that's much better in the original is the health system.

  • @AliG4life

My personal dislike was the story line, I felt it was much weaker than the original.

The gameplay did feel a bit consoley but with a strong story line, I wouldn't have "batted an eye lid".

  • @hellomoto75 you did not play Human Revolution

  • @Whompa02

    I did unfortunately.

  • I never asked for this....

... but I'm glad you did it anyway.

  • I asked for a good RPG series with a decent storyline. It gave me Deus Ex.

    My gaming life is augmented.

  • Wow, real great work!

  • Excellent piece of modern art, thanks for sharing )

  • I asked for this

  • I wanna play Deus Ex. Right now, right here.

  • @dasgluk91 In your browser ?

  • 2:16 is where it becomes jaw-dropping

  • @b1z2a3

    You weren't kidding :O

  • @b1z2a3 :|____________|

  • download link?

  • 7 people are from UNATCO

  • This is good, but only form 2:15 onwards, there it starts sounding very DX HR-ish, with a hint of DXclassic.

When I clicked the link from the Eidos forum, I was hoping to hear the classic DX tune remade with the style of HR. Would you consider making one like that? I was kinda let down when the new composer didn't do that for HR

Another thing, the tingling-'star-shimmer' sounds, they're out of place. But that choir is awesome and epic sounding.

  • Not bad. Although, only that tingling music contributed any of the original Deus Ex theme.

  • Have you ever noticed the connection between deus ex 1 and matrix (the first movie). At the end of matrix Neo (right after he talks into the telephone) he looks up and flys away. This looks exactly like JC on the cover of Deus Ex 1

  • @QRAPGaming There's an interview with the game's project leader. His name escapes me right now but he said a lot of the designs, characters and outfits were influenced by the Matrix and Riddick

  • @AgentsOfAIlegience with warren spector ?

  • @JMRG2992 Yep.

  • @QRAPGaming Not to mention some of what Jensen can do, and his look reminds me a lot of Neo, like with the takedowns.

I wonder if they ever took note of each others creations.

  • Its a lovely composition... the two themes blend together seamlessly. It really maintains the feel of the series too. Great work!

  • d(^_^)b

  • JC Denton V Adam Jenson?

  • Am I the only one to notice there are three Black Helicopters on the title cover but you only see one (Jock) in the entirety of Deus Ex?

  • Yellow versus Blue...

  • Go to 1:38 so you can see this bad ass terminator guy still wondering if it's Jc

  • these themes are augmented.

  • gunther only wanted deus ex 3, eidos gave him invisible war.

  • @Snoogen11 THEY KNOW I LIKE YELLOW

  • @BearsAteMyCat /orange

  • @Snoogen11 what a shame

  • @Snoogen11 gunther never asked for this

  • Invisible War

Adam Jensen: I never asked for this.

  • @LeonSKennedyUSA It was a good game, but hardly a worthy sequel to Deus Ex.

But seriously, your comment is hilarious.

  • towards the end is awsome!!!

  • the song is nice, but the picture is just awesome

  • @hassshaassh

You sure have your nostalgia goggles on to tight.

You sound like one of those wankers who cant accept a sequel having stuff better than the original. DX3 theme is as awesome as the first one. And you hear the original theme after the credits.

  • btw i also dont like adam jensen too much... but i guess it makes some sense, since hes been augmented after being human, where JC was like made that way. ... JC is like badass nothing bothers him super soldier, adam jenson is sorta wussy the way he talks at times. :P

  • @hassshaassh I wonder how you would feel if people cut off your arms and legs and replaced them with cold steel.

  • @hassshaassh

That makes him human unlike the generic heroes out there who always have to be "Badass"

  • @blackknightkanos yeah i get that, i just mean, i dunno about you but i played Deus Ex 1 when it was new, and it was a super awesome badass game.... it was so sweet that he was like a hardcore super soldier.

... just saying, i was expecting something else, but i do see what they did, they made it more realistic. i like realism so its cool lol.

  • @hassshaassh Actually the trailers kind of made him sound like an emo hero. But in the actual game you can CHOOSE how he feels about his augmentations and his general personality kinda like in mass effect. There is a little talk you have with a character at the start of the game that asks you how do you feel about being a cyborg. The responses are basically.

1.emo..I never asked for this (like the trailer)

2.meh...indifferent. I make the most of it

3.I feel like a badass (flexes metal biceps)

  • good job on the remix, the xylophone or whatever wouldnt be my top choice.... but at least you made this, i HATE HATE HATE the theme of deus ex 3 , the original was epic, badass style, but deus ex 3 is, oohh oohh its soo dramatic oohh dramatic oooh its dramatic, see how dramatic it is, so dramatic .... its F*ing LAME.... i couldnt believe they didnt have some tune of the original in it... major let down, as soon as i can im modding this into the game.... unless thers a more badass styled remix

  • @hassshaassh No offence, but you don't even sound like someone who was born when the original came out.

  • You sir, did a great job.

  • God from/out of the machine. A more practical translation is "man-made god". The phrase was coined by the Romans as a term for the trend of lazy playwrights making their plays end by introducing a "god" or otherwise omnipotent being who conveniently solves everything, without following the story's progression. In "Life of Brian" where he falls off the tower and is rescued by aliens, there's a very deliberate deus ex machina.

  • Comment removed

  • Assasin Creed Revelation Vs Deus Ex Human Revolution Which one you will choose.Thumb up for the question here.

  • Is that the Deus Ex 2 theme? I mean it sounds ok but Why not combine 1 and HR?

  • does anyone know the trailer music with the thing about the ability to adapt?

  • Invisible War did happen

    It's all in the numbers

something to do with the number 2

  • @DarkShadowAlec Well I've heard of this second game but I certainly have never seen it.

  • @DarkShadowAlec

I remember Invisible War. In the same way as 9/11.

  • Invisible war never happened

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC We all pray it's just an alternate reality, my friend.

  • @TimelessOne123 Funny, I think that to. Bad fanfiction really.

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC

What is this "invisible war" you are talking about?

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC What is this "Invisible War" of which you speak?

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC it was a nice game but as good as first deus ex

  • @kankuj23 No, no its not. It took the franchise and dumbed it down to the point of no return, not to mention the fact that I can help a guy start a new company and literally 5 seconds later blow him in half with a shotgun and have NO consequences for doing so.

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC I never asked for that

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC Invisible what? OH WAIT! I tried so HARD to forget it, now it's all coming back! OH GOD! OH GOD, NO!

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC Alright, but only if you admit theres no 4th Indiana Jones movie

  • @MutantMike90 Oh ok than.....

  • @MutantMike90 there wasnt... just think long and hard about it.

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC what's Invisible War????

  • @PyroLord185 Deus Ex II - Invisible War. It refers partially to technological warfare and Majestic 12 trying to take over the world with the grey death. Indirectly, it refers to the exact opposite as well, a war that JC Denton and his brothers are waging in secrecy, a war that you also find IRL but that nobody ever talks about. It's a war for the human self.

  • @PyroLord185 the second deus ex.

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC i've never asked for it.....

  • @dfghj241 I see what you did there. What a shame it came to be anyway.

  • @halfpintgamescast YEP...

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC ehm.... what Invisible war... lol :p

  • @FinnDude69 The second Deus Ex. Despite what people seem to think, it's a extremely good game, if not quite as good as the original.

  • @Pudabudigada Or, you know, everybody has their own opinion. I personally played it through to the end and thought it was complete garbage, but you have the complete right (And even OBLIGATION) to decide whether you like it or not. AFTER playing it. (Which I'm guessing you have)

  • @masterplusmargarita Yes, I've played it, -before DE1, actually- and I found it to be a well balanced game with a good level of freedom, excellent graphics, brilliant physics (always a bonus!), and interesting augmentation options, and addresses a problem with the first game in having many more weapons available. Still, it's a little more constraining than DE1, and I don't think the story is quite as good.

  • @FinnDude69 I see what you did there........

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC Two things(lol sorry but I'm a huge fan of the Deus Ex series):

    1. Invisible War happened after both Deus Ex and Human Revolution, so it makes some sense.

    2. I honestly don't see why everyone hates IW. I thought it was at least as good as DX and HR.

  • @KeiToEverything it was an ok game, but it does not i repeat does not DESERVE to have DEUS EX in the title. As far as i'm concerned IW is the bastard child that while he still ended up with a good job as a police officer, he can't keep up with his 2 other brothers who works for the Army Special Forces(HR), and the CIA(Deus ex).

    Lol bad metaphor i know....

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC InvisiWho?

  • @Raverque Exactly!

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC YES! YES! SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT! xD

  • @KNIGHTMAREMANIAC Oddly enough, i played invisible war FIRST(i'm 19 do the math, i wasn't old enough to appreciate a good game in 2000) and i thought hmm this is a pretty fun game. Then a few years later i saw the Human Revolution trailer, so i said, hmmm its june and HR comes out soon so let me play the 1st and oh boy. Graphic's aside, Deus Ex blew me away, i know see why fans frowned at IW. I hoped HR would be the TRUE successor....and I thought well, HR is the TRUE Deus Ex 2 in my eyes.

  • i was looking over the video then at a splitting moment when jc slowly becomes jensen. i thought i saw paul.

  • At first i was like

    O_o

    but then

    :O

  • This is awesome, can't wait to play this game.

  • What kind of version is the "Icarus" theme anyway?

  • Hey what software did you use to make this?

  • Great remix. The last quarter really brings out the feeling and atmosphere of Deus Ex out.

  • Excellent stuff man! I'm quite impressed :P

  • @TheWill69 It could also be considered "God from Within", I'd say either one of the translations would work well.

  • This is superbly done. The gentle blend of the two images really sells it for me. Much better than some other fan made compositions. It is a little light in places, but it's great all the same. Good job.

  • Well done - great mix and as a lover of the Deus Ex franchise I have to say this is amazing! :)

  • does deus ex mean "from god" ?

  • @lollmemm The complete expression is "Deus ex machina" it means "God from machines". The meaning is "someone who solves a complicated situation".

  • @Micro94Ice Actually, while your direct translation is accurate, the meaning is not entirely so. "Deus Ex Machina" refers to the cop-out plot device of solving the situation in the play by something that thus far has not been present in the play... by using a machine (a crane) to lower a "God" onto the stage, whereupon the "God" fixes the situation. Deus Ex Machina is thus the name of an ancient principle about how NOT to write fiction.

  • @th3voice I'm gonna kick my Latin theacher's ass.

  • @th3voice It fits the theme of the series pretty well, since the ultimate end (in invisible war) involves a god like A.I snapping its fingers and solving all the worlds problems.

  • @Cha4k

well, it's still open I think, what kind of end Alex D. took and if he/she worked with JC right? o_O

  • @lollmemm

It's part of a latin quote "Deus ex Machina", which means : "God out of the machine".

  • @ksDeathPaladin A more practical translation is "God in the machine".

It's an idea with fingers in human consciousness, society, economics, everything. Any kind of machine, no matter how random it might appear, is in fact being manipulated by some higher power. Humans are outwardly randomly-acting machines, so for them to be controlled as such requires some kind of soul, or a god. There's an order in the chaos. A God in the Machine.

  • @ksDeathPaladin doesn it mean god IN the machine not out i dont know im just heard it was that
