@SkittlzNinja Nazi prison camps, the story of a kid, I presume, trying to help his family survive until they were rescued. Both Alex and Geddy's parents spent time in prison camps.
when you see Neil's drumset from above, with all the parts and different percussion instruments, you know without even seeing him play that he is great, cause no one else could handle that kind of drum set, they would be lost!!!!
This is that 1 or 2am song that you jam while going way over the speed limit!! I remember cranking this from the "Chronicles" Double Disc and just loving the song my Senior year in HS!!
This is going to be my song for when the dollar collapses and all hell breaks loose. Marshall law, Fema camps, Police state and eventually cyborgs looking for me with my new RFID chip.
This is going to be my song for when the dollar collapses and all hell breaks loose. Marshall law, Fema camps, Police state and eventually cyborgs looking for me with my new RFID chip.
This video contains something I've never seen from Rush. They actually lose their timing. Check out how the song speeds up during Alex's solo. All of a sudden Neil starts playing a bit faster.
@Spermwhales93 Huge Rush fan here, and I heard some autotune too. On that last "Stand up straight" you can really here it. I bet it was added in when they mided the DVD. There's no way they autotune live.
@ryslo2000 I've seen several live videos of Rush (both DVD/TV quality videos and bootlegs) and I've heard no evidence of autotune on a lot of them. They probably added it to the vocals when they mixed and mastered the DVD before release. If anything, it was unnecessary because Geddy stays in tune most of the time.
3 excessively talented musicians having to perform in a wash of years that have produced the most pretentious losers that claim the same title of these musical geniuses. i guess its hard to appreciate music that pleases the ear (maybe people are just jealous) and lyrics that adress substantial ideas. more rush for the rest of us.
Who cares if people don't like rush? That just means they would rather listen to bands made up of un-talented adults singing about sex and drugs, hoping to sale albums to high school kids. Rush never had to pretend they were cool and bad ass. Real music fans know that.
What a night it was! I stood up 1st balcony above alex... got the chills during "dreamline" and completly freaked out when they played only old stuff during the last half hour....there where countless "magic moments" during the concert, well, glad too see that R30 is out on blue-ray and complete!!!!
I hate when people say "they're old put it on Slipknot or Disturbed so we can find shit so heavy that we don't even know whats playing"RUSH IS LIKE THE SOFT PART IN THE MIDDLE OF BROWNIES
I looked up "teamwork" in the dictionary and there was a picture of RUSH. There is no better example of three parts coming together, meshing so effortlessly and for so long and still performing as great a level as their peak. I'm sure there has to be one of those motivator posters with Alex, Geddy, and Neil on it.
gosh i just love rush. geddy lee has an amazing voice..i noticed this version is a bit faster than normal. they prolly were getting so into it so they sped up..some of the best musicians in the industry by far!! go rush!!
Absolutely amazing...! Every single one of them and the three of them togheter are out of this world...! This planet doesn't deserve them...! F*ck the R&R HOF...!
I like the Grace Under Pressure tour version better, the Synths are so much more powerful. I do like Geddy's voice 20 years later though, it's very nice:)
With that said, this version doesn't stand up to the live version from the Grace Under Pressure tour. That version is the best live version out there - really strong and gritty.
This version's audio mix has the keyboards buried way too far behind the guitar...
Kind of ironic, A tune about the holocaust being played in Germany. Obviously that was of another era and I'm certainly not suggesting anything negative about Germans.
Jann Wenner is also a fuckhead too. Grandmaster Flash and Madonna are more worth of the HOF than Rush? Okay, whatever Jann. Fuck the HOF anyway if they can't recognize true genius like Rush when it's heard.
@leconnaway Supoosedly, someone from Rolling Stone gave Rush a very bad review on a tour or album and Neil wrote them a piece of "The Riot Act".Thus, the ongoing grudge against them. The HOF says it's because Rush is a "progressive" rock band and they don't have a category for progressive bands. I find that utter bullshit. are they supposed to sound the same way they did back in 1975? In order to progress you have to:A. stick around for 30+ years B. develop your craft to razor sharpness.
@mrthundaboots Hilarious. Ask any artist, and they'll tell you most rock critics rarely stay for more than 1/2 the show, thus their reviews are slanted and pretty much worthless. As for the HOF and "progressive rock" bands, the operative word there is ROCK. That means that Pink Floyd, Genesis etc will never make it in. Floyd who sold over 20 Million of 1 album alone; Genesis who were the soundtrack for the 80's. Absolutely makes no sense to pick ABBA or skanky Madonna over them...
now they just need to release Bravado,YYZ,The Trees,One Little Victory, La Villa Strangiato, and By Tor and the Snowdog and we will be all set, seeing that Secret Touch was just released on retrospect III.
Thanks for put this video! It is a great petty that this video doesn't appear in the dvd. Honestly I like Red sector A than Mystic rythms. It's a point of view.
I try not to let them bother me. If you don't like the band, then why would you just come to the video to talk about how crappy it is?

the children who leave comments that are likely to offend genuine RUSH fans simply dont appreciate good musicians talent and good music.
They were probably the ones who think Joey Jordison is a good drummer. He is a drummer, he just makes a noise, anyone can do that.
