  • Lol, found this song while reading in the book store

  • If this doesn't move you, check your pulse.

  • Sampled on One Eskimo's "Kandi." Great stuff!

  • Some songs, for some unexplainable reason just have it. Others don't. This has it. It just kicks ass.

  • She sounds good, but Bettye Lavette is even better.

  • wish there was an I f'n love this button, like is not strong enough!

  • I Lost my husband /best friend in 2007 and lord knows what i'd give to hear him call me

baby, baby just for a minute ,I miss him so much, but yes he too made me strong.

  • Wow! this is Hot and soulful...

  • Funny how a song written by a Country Western song writer or I'm assuming he was, can be sung another way. In my humble opinion, that is a great song-when it can be done by the different genres. Great cover! Too bad I've never heard this before until now.If this was playing over the radio waves, don't recall it. I remember her other songs. Thanks for posting.

  • certain songs just touch your heart... this is one of them...

  • i thought it was adele when i first listen to One EskimO's song Kandi,

  • love her voice and this song! amazing!

  • Does she sound like Adele at all??

  • THE ORIGINAL SONG ON MY CHANNEL ! BETTER THAN THIS !

  • Candi Station is a gospel singer now and she has a program on TBN> This song was originally recorded by the country singer Patsy Cline

  • Baby Baby Baby all night long!!!!! Yeah!!!!!

  • I"m so glad this song is getting the attention it deserves - we loved it in the '60's and were so glad it has found it's niche. I'll always prefer the original but I really adore what One Eskimo has done with tweaking a conversational "back and forth" story elements, which makes the story complete. And super hot.

  • She was on the Americana Music Awards. Still sounds good!

  • THANK YOU ONE ESKIMO FOR BRINGING THIS SONG BACK X'D

  • thank you

  • Is she still alive?

  • @usmctanks1 Yes!!

  • Heard the tail end of this song on the radio the other day, the lyrics and emotion hit close to home for me - had to look it up. Great tone, sexy feel. Love it. Really.

  • She is truly the "Sweetheart Of Southern Soul" from the Colony, Alabama.

  • I can relate to this song. I can feel her pain as if it was my own. It lingers the pain and the good. That is why the feeling is sooo good and soooooo bad. All night long, alone or in my dreams. I can't help but want to go back to that "He called me baby, all night long."

  • when i first heard her voice, i thought it was adele

  • well at this point there are 2 idiots in the world. Dislike...really?!?!?!?

  • I'm so glad this is back!!!!!!!!!

  • I imagine myself in a cafe, smoky room from the cigarettes that have been put out in ashtrays, smoke still eminating from them, with a drink of the best liquor in my hand, singing this song.

  • @Ladythatlovesmusic This imagery cannot be improved..right on point!

  • @Mknzii Thanks!

  • Look at that face. I want to kiss.

  • OMG I thought she only sang gospel music!!!!! I'm so glad I was lead here!!!

  • I found this as a result of liking the One Eskimo song. She is amazing! For those who enjoyed the other tune, and who loved Patsy Cline, I recommend you listen to this wonderful songstress. Enjoy!!!

  • they dont make em anymore like where she came from

  • wow, what a song!:)

  • YOU, of all people, peeping in on me and Chet. You just knocked me off my ass with this song! Literally. He almost NEVER called me by name, but he ALWAYS called me Baby or 'My Baby'. Where did you find this? I'd never heard it before, but I'll be damned, I lived it, and am still living it, and yes, even in my dreams! There's nothing in the world I would not give to have these moments and words and this man back. Dear Lord, If I ever loved at all, you have That Love in your kingdom.

  • Damn Daddy, YOU, of all people, peeping in on me and Chet.

  • Patsy Cline sings its better.

  • @VASINGER I agree ~ Patsy sang it! Felt It! Lived it!

Any other versions are weak, faded imitations

~ they can never come near being as great as the original!

Take the time to listen to the best ~ Patsy Cline!

  • Sean, I never heard this song until tonight. I feel so left out; anyway; made me think of you. I love you w/ all my heart!

  • FUCK YES

  • eskimo one nice cover of this song

  • WOW!

  • Classic, need more men to inspire songs like this, yeow!

  • this is my wake up song , .. always listen to it .. started because of the Bones epp with One Eskimo , and i coulent get that out of my head , then i figured out it was sampled from this ... and i'm hooked onto both of them !

  • Could you post "When Will I?" from the movie, "The Family That Preys." Thanks.

  • Nice!

  • Thank you Tumblr and One Eskimo for pointing me to this version!

  • LUVZ IT!!! : )

  • there's nothing 2 add or take away from this song!! perfection is what it is period!! Ella Washinton brings something 2 this song 2 listen 2 her as well!! I like her vesion as well, but Candy voice has its own signature & thats make hers origina!!

  • Curse the man who messed with this song. Everything I hear right now is where it should be.

  • Song Of The Day.

  • Wicked. I like this better than One Eskimo's song.

  • awesome song, awesome singer!

  • Rock it Candi!!!

  • This song is intense. I went out and bought the 45 after hearing on YouTube. Awesome.

  • love the beat

  • Top Tune!

  • Devine.

  • Gotta love that phat and funky bass riff....

  • @RealYellowbeard Nancy Wilsons version has a better guitar riff but agree, Candis bass riff is where it's at.

  • WOW....I can't handle it.....way toooooo much!!!!

  • ill always love you...

  • >

    > The BEST cover of this classic

    >

  • beautiful. i swear man Tarantino has to use this song in one of his next films.

  • One Eskimo turn it around. In Candi's song - she recalls the parting of a lover who called her baby and propmtly sodded off. In One Eskimo's song a cuckolded lover asks why she sodded off with a love paramour. That is how I see it anyway. A bit boring somebody calling anybody anything all night long. Why not say it once and then get yer heads down and call her baby the next morning. Do these people not have things to do?

  • @sandprof it's just a song, relax and enjoy it

  • @sandprof How old are you? Have you ever been in a relationship? Sometimes doing nothing but enjoying each other's company is exactly the best thing to do. Also, it's a song. Learn to appreciate music.

  • @Karttago Don't have a clue what you're saying, but I agree :).

  • @Karttago Jag talar inte svenska, men jag helt förstår. Mycket kärlek på avstånd.

  • There are several very good versions of this song, but this one is the jewel in the crown. Her phrasing is amazing and you can really hear the country roots of the song too. Definitely one of her most evocative performances.

  • @mafketays Agree.

  • @mafketays Yes Yes by far Candi's raspy soulful voice makes this the crown jewel version of this song

  • She and her producers deserve most of the credit for the One Eskimo arrangement which I prefer to this one which has a horn section that does not suit the quiet sadness in the lyric. Her phrasing is exquisite.

  • One hell of a Voice. Thanks to One Eskimp for pointing me to Candi.

  • @LiveRustTribute WOW, amazing how I just heard this Dub on the song below, 5 minutes later I found this. Thanks to the internet... Kandi is actually Candi Stanton.

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • love this song!

  • Wow!!!! That is all I can say. This song just knocks me out.
