I had this game as a little kid, it was actually pretty good for learning. After all, it helped me start on english despite it not being my native language.
I liked the level where you had to make all the three-letter words you could before the sun went down.
There is a level where you need to spell a lot of three letter words within a time limit. This video is of the simplest level, face memorization. You can work your way up.
When I was little I used to play this late at night with the lights off. The volume was always reasonably loud. Every once in a while, I would doze off. About a minute later I would jump at the sound of:
"PRESS THE BIG BLACK BUTTON TO MOVE LITTLE BIRD"
It got me every time. Something similar happened more recently when I beat Ocarina of Time. It was 4:30 A.M.. The room was dark. I was half asleep. Then all of a sudden, the scarecrow song came blaring out of my stereo. I nearly crapped myself.
lol, well, this game scared my brother and sisters becaus it would mess up and like, the screen wouldnt go off when you turn the "off button" off, and it would sometimes make odd noises, but thats just what my brother/sisters tell me
those voice dialogue,s are incredible,i guess they,re 7bits pcm, annyway it feels like wow the nes is 7bit pcm audio capable.

Why? It was fun as a kid for me.
IMO there are a lot more than 9 NES games worse than this.
