I was pleasantly surprised that an indie game could be so good. I also enjoyed watching my friend play the game and nearly pee himself at various parts of the game. Yeah this game was worth every penny.

@RaduIc3Man It's OK, I'm playing it myself for the first time, though I'm stuck at the moment. Can't find a way to get the lift running, which only means I need to look around more carefully. Or search the Web for a walkthrough as a last resort.

and also, does the "shadow" apear in well lit rooms?

and finally, is it only after you make it to the front hall that the monster even apears?

My only gripe is the lack of weapons in a game full of realism. I'm not talking about revolvers or grenade launchers or anything like that, but realistically anyone in this case or situation would have at least picked up the broom or a candlestick for some form of protection even if all it could do is stun the monster/s.

That is my only gripe and it isn't even a big one. Thank you for the walkthrough.

You gotta' understand that this game, is about old school horror (like classic horror novels by Machen/Poe/Lovecraft).

Atmosphere is the key, if you're able to immerse yourself into it - you'll shit your pants.

Played this game for about 1 hour and it's great.

PS: I was 18 when I was played SH and it scared the fuck out of me so, I guess it all boils down to "what scares you" (not how old are you).
