I don't understand the connection to Catholic social teaching. Let's remember the strong connection of immigration in our country (all of us except the Native Americans and Black slaves) and as a Catholic Church. Today's immigrants are building the country the same way past immigrants have...and unfortunately are facing the same hate and fear as the Irish, Italians, Chinese, etc. A tough issue, but one we have to figure out with a compassionate heart and a realization of their contributions.
In John 10:1, Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."
So who really wins in this scenerio? I guess that is why illegal immigration laws are not enforced. It benefits someone and it isn't three of these people in the video. Just one of them.
