I imagine myself driving a pickup truck with a bunch of ducks in the flatbed while listening to this on maximum volume. Confederation flag is inevitable on the front hood :-))
i thought this was ok...not something i would listen to on a weekly basis though...when the goat started singing at 0:33 it felt like i was bitch slapped then thrown into a ditch. that you youtube for pointing out my enemies, now i must seek and destroy their asses.
@1bol1 Yes, that is the scale being used. The cool thing, it lends itself nicely as a relative to many shifts in the chord progression without actually changing the scale. Kirk is a master of that, since he was taught by the master of the technique: Joe Satriani.
@kc8ntp kirk isn't a master, he mainly uses the basic pentatonic scale wich fits into everything. he knows music theory but he doesen't. you should stop pretending to think that noobs like hammett are great musicians, sure he can play fast but all his solos sounds pretty much thesame. there are many other guitarists that actually take some time to sit down and write good music instead of just playing same shit over and over again. For example; Michael Romeo, Jason Becker, Shawn Lane (R.I.P).

@TheSimqleArts What's that supposed to mean? Me being younger doesn't affect my understanding of music and creativity. Kirk is overrated as fuck. Only musical idiots disagree. AND THAT'S A FACT.
hahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahashahhahah OMG THAT BANJO SOLO KICKED SO MUCH ASS PPPFFFTTT HAHAHAHHA THAT WAS FRIGGIN FUNNY HAHHAHA
wow i thought the idea of a bluegrass cover was a bad idea but when i listen to it i am a huge fan of iron horse now. im thinking about picking up their blue grass cover of metallica, both cds. where can i get these?
this shits tight as fuck. i play, so i know. and there's almost as much energy as james in dudes vocals. but i think i like this shit so much because i sound so fuckin killer in my truck singing along!
Good point, it's pretty sad when a banjo band has the best MetallicA cover. This shows how great MetallicA is and how much better they are than other metal bands.
Long live the only band with metal in its name (insert headbang)

@1bol1 No, he used to be good for using "Pitch-Shift theory". Not too much anymore, but back before the Black Album, he used it a lot.

No way, there's nothing like the original version by Metallica. This is a good version but not the better one.
WhiteMexican14words 3 years ago 2
They didnt try to make it better its an homage to Metallica
MrBrownstone888 3 years ago
I know but I was just saying that this is a good version as well. Only Metallica can outdo other bands when they make covers of their stuff :D
WhiteMexican14words 3 years ago
oh i know man, have you heard the original Am I evil By Diamond head, nowhere as good as Metallica's and Turn the Page, metallica's is way better.
MrBrownstone888 3 years ago
Yes sir, great observations. Diamond Head doesn't have the same vocals or as good a sound as MetallicA
WhiteMexican14words 3 years ago
You know it, i just wish that there would be a band out there that could do a metallica cover and do it justice... other than Iron Horse that is.LOL
MrBrownstone888 3 years ago
