Theres a few contradictions in the plot here...

how did celso get to the land of the dead so quickly whereas it took meche a year;

how did celso's wife get to rubacava and get on a boat before celso if she died afterwards, and he had only died that day!

funny little things!

but this game is probably the best game ever mad in my opinion...

so many memories! :(

I'm just taking a few theories and seeing if they stick here...but maybe:

She had Dom as an agent and she was able to get a better deal/faster ride? She did have the money so maybe she bought herself a free ride from place to place? She walks a little bit faster?

Eh, other than those thoughts I can't really say how she made it there faster than her...ex-hubbie did. But...maybe one of those things is the reason why? Either way you are right, though. Its one of the best games made.
