I remember buying this single. when I got it home and bashed it on my young punky ears got a surprise, I loved it straight away non the less. I still play it now (is it worth anything? Because I would love to own a single worth loads that I have battered to deathfrom playing rather than be one of those sods who get all precious about records.
pauline still going strong. .see her et the whickerman this year fronting penetration. .best value festival & band at the same time. .can't be bad eh !. .
Just heard on radio 6 that Penetration have reformed and are gigging.
Amazon reminded me that I would want to buy PM and the IG, unfortunately they only had one copy on vinyl at £100. Tried ordering the album at Virgin in Brum in 1980 (they could get anything - but on this case they couldn't). Friend borrowed it from a record libary (those were the days) and taped it for me but I lost it many moons ago. Similarly I saw them with JCC (at Brum Odeon). Thanks for indulging me!!
Saw PM and the Invisible Girls in about 1979 (I think) supporting John Cooper Clark at Manchester Apollo, she was brilliant and quite horny looking as I remember.
One of the great albums, and great song (though I preferred Dream Sequence 2, B side of the single !). What won't they re-issue it - I have the LP, and singles and EP, but no turntable !!!
Anyone who can quote Dream Sequence 2 is cool. I got the CD, bought from an Oregon pawn shop. Sold T-shirts on one of her tours sleeping in the bands van on top of the equipment in Edinburgh was a highlight!
Wow, great to see so many people enjoying Pauline Murray. I just love her first solo album. Great songs. Time slipping and this one are one of my favourites. But to be frank I really didn't like Martin Hannett's sound in this one. Maybe he wanted to take a break from his normal work for Factory? Why didn't Pauline release another album? As I recall they were just E.P.s. Although maybe the record company didn't have faith in her anymore. Thanks for putting this on Youtube!
Greatest band and song. Always on my 100 best tracks ever. Buy the amazing album and enjoy the best track time is slipping. Please come back Pauline ... we love you in Sweden...

Always been a great song, but a nice video too - the first time I´ve seen it. Anyone know if there was a vid for "Fools" with The Only Ones and PM?

I got into trouble for singing "I tried to cover but they all stared at my naked body" from me mum. Changed days.
