yea but it HAS been argued. the election is over. at this point, both sides have excellent positions and refuttals from what i've heard. i say we analyze, we vote on election day, and we let it go until we have the cold, hard facts.
There's a difference between analyzing promised proposals and plans and analyzing ACTUAL bills that will be signed, after the votes are tallied.
What we see with the stimulus, for example, he says "I'm going to decrease government spending" during the election, now he takes out a huge loan.
This is brought up not to be like "he's a liar, blah blah," rather, "Ok... the plan has changed, why? What was changed? How does this effect other tings that were said?"

There's a difference between analyzing promised proposals and plans and analyzing ACTUAL bills that will be signed, after the votes are tallied.
What we see with the stimulus, for example, he says "I'm going to decrease government spending" during the election, now he takes out a huge loan.
This is brought up not to be like "he's a liar, blah blah," rather, "Ok... the plan has changed, why? What was changed? How does this effect other tings that were said?"
Analysis never ends.

An exercise in hypotheticals and analysis NEVER hurts. Again, my argument is NOT that he's good, it's that NO ONE CAN SAY HE IS GOOD, until the results are in. As it stands, I believe his policies will fail, and see little SUBSTANCE to predict otherwise.
Looking stupid? Least of my concerns. If his plans work, the economy boosts and health care reform is for the better (I work in health care, little to no chance of that plan working). I hate the day that I get to say "I told you so."

Of the many quotes that he delivered in his speeches, did he ever mention JFK's "Ask not what the country can do for you but what you can do for your country"? I presume not unless prove me wrong. If the government controlled its own credit, we could easily re inflate the economy at no cost in debt or interest. But with the central bankers controlling credit, I wonder if they will do enough to replace the capital they have drained from the system.
