  • Why would anyone dislike this video. It give a relaxing view of most of the resort. Very nicely done.

  • i will be going there on chrismas does anyone know if the pools are heated ?

  • @raeganlindsey Yes, it is heated so it should be very nice to swim. Though keep your towl near by, as it may be cold as heck when you get out. lol.

  • This video makes me wanna cry :( I went here once with my family when I was 8.. im 15 now to disney world and we stayed at this resort.. AND IT WAS SOOO AWESOME!!!!! its soo awesome I literally cried lmao.. disney is just that legit lol.. but ya and we havnt gone to disney since because we cant afford it.. STUPID ECONOMY... :(

  • The Poly Rocks! Going Next month (June). I can't wait. Grand Flo in July...or maybe the Poly again.

I love the sounds of the waterfall and the smell the moment you walk into the Great Ceremonial House. The moderates aren't bad, but once you stay at a Deluxe monorail resort, no other hotel will do.

  • Man i love this place, ive been here 7 times and always either the boardwalk or the polynesian. i built so many memories here, im going next spring and i really miss the expierience of waking up at 4, driving to the airport, and boy the smell of arriving in florida with hot chocolate, and ready to hit the resort, chill and then wake up at 7:00 the next day, go to the bakery and pickup some hot chocolate and breakfast, then take the boat to magic kingdom. boy do i miss this place so much

  • Yay staying here in 23 days!

  • arent there aligators in the lake there? or can you go swimming.

  • Great video!!! It looks like a amazing hotel! And the music does not bother mei just mute it and find another song to play! thank you for making this video! :))))))

  • This is my favorite hotel. I've been to Disney three times- the first was when I was four and afraid of everything including the pooh ride and the rainforest cafe, the second was when I was 8 and I was only afraid of the haunted mansion and the big scary rollercoasters to eight year olds, and the last time I went was last september age 10, but I'm almost 11. All three times we stayed at the Polynesian resort and there is a wonderful memory for every little segment you did. I love it and miss it

  • like the video...if it wasn't for the annoying music

  • @billmee1234 I caught this video on Youtube, as we are considering staying at this resort on our next visit. The music caught my ear, and it took me a while to figure it out - it's also from the remake of the Battlestar Galactica series, less the bells... Just struck me as interesting...

  • I miss the old pool.

  • I think it looks beautiful. I love the whole Walt Disney idea. He wanted to create an amusement park experiances that removes it's visitors from the real world and all of it's frustrations and allows everyone to be wonderous and child-like again if only for a few hours or days. I think he did a good job.

  • I was in the dark about theme parks until I checked out bestvaluethemeparks (.) com

  • The Polynesian Resort at Disney World is wonderful. Please see my Polynesian Resort Youtube video

Tahitian Fire Dance at the Polynesian Resort Luau 2010 DISNEY WORLD

by clicking on my name. Enjoy.

  • SO many magical childhood memories of this resort ! It hard to explain how special it is to me....

  • Two weeks! Volcano bar here I come!

  • RARATONGA @ 1:55!!!!!

  • Wonderful. Really brings back memories for me. What is the music you're using - very neat.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!! At 3:15 thats me and my little brother coming down the waterslide!

  • Our favoriye hotel. We'll take the Poly "any room!"

  • It's beautiful! I'm staying in the Tahiti Longhouse in October for a week, & my Mom being obsessive like she is (lol) would like to know which side of the room are the beds? If you look into the room from the window/balcony? Anyone actually know? x

  • @xashleykamix I have no idea which side the beds would be on. I think this is something that may alternate from room to room depending on the layout.

As for the maids, I think most disney resorts are about the same time, which I want to say is 9am ish, but you can always leave a do not disturb card out for them to come back later if you would like a late clean up.

  • @MickeyEarsCom Okay, thanks! Oh & btw do the bath's have a shower above it? Can't really tell in video's i've watched.

  • @xashleykamix cool. I'm staying at Raratonga, as always. the beds are on the right where I stay, BTW.

  • @xashleykamix cool. I'm staying at Raratonga, as always. the beds are on the left when you walk in and the right from the balcony where I stay, BTW.

  • @xashleykamix the beds are on the right when you first walk in. This hotel is by far the beset one to stay at in my opinion and it smells so good :D

  • Does the bath in the guest room's have a shower? & what time do the maids usually come in? x

  • Ya gotta love the Poly :-)

  • @ 4:03 lol those kid in the water don't know that bay lake (attached to the 7 seas lagoon) is infected with Naegleria fowleri (aka the brain eating amoeba) =P

  • @PastelStudios I think the samething anytime I see someone in the water. They do have signs, but I don't think people realize why they are not allowed in the water. Beyond that, the water is very dirty with the oil from the boat traffic for decades.

  • @MickeyEarsCom yeah i was there a few days ago and i noticed alot of foliage was growing near the shore in the water and i thought who would ever want to swim here

  • @PastelStudios Well I do remember doing it as a kid, but that was in the very early 80's and late 70's. I imagine that it was much cleanner then, but we could have just been dumber. lol

  • is this a hotel where theres many activities to do there or is this a sleep only and go to the parks every day

  • @mako5414 Yes, there are a lot of things which you can do at this hotel and all of the resorts have different events, but the best are at the deluxe resorts like this one. Another thing to note is that you can also resort hop, which means when you stay at the Polynesian you can visit the Grand Floridian or other resorts and use all of their perks for free.

My family has on many occasions just stayed at the resorts and not gone into the parks.

  • Me and my friends are saving as much as we can so we can go to Disney and stay here in our senior year. No parents, just us.

  • i stayed there, I LOVED IT. but you shouldve shown the beach.

  • Thanks-for-this!We-just-booked-at-this-hotel-for-the-first-time-and-this-showed-me-a-lot-of-things-I-was-wondering-about.Looks-like-a-cool-place=)

  • I'll be staying there from next friday to that following thursday...cant wait!!

  • brings back memories. i stayed at my first diseny hotel in 2007 and it was this 1. and now this october, me and my family are staying at the contemorary. but i liked the polynesian the best.

  • When did you film this, the Volcano pool is never that dead? Oh, and that guy going down the slide with his kid...an absolute no no. LoL

  • July 2008, and you know if I recall I think he was getting yelled at shortly after this.

  • MickeyEarsCom, what is this music? Never stayed at the resort but I love to have a few drinks there. I will definitely know to make a reso at Ohana way in advance next time.

  • Sorry, I don't recall what the name of the music is and have lost the file in a computer crash.

  • @MickeyEarsCom

You gotta find it, I love it.

  • Without a doubt our favorite hotel. What a lobby? I love the smell of the place when you walk in.

We'll be at the G F this weekend for our anniversary but will be back at the Poly next month for a birthday! Yeahhhhh!

  • the poly is also my favorite the lobby cannot be beat

  • LOVE this place!! 5 more days!Tonga 3rd floor! Whoot.

  • Makes me want to go there now! :) Thanks for sharing :)

  • just lose the gay mystical music

  • I kinda like it. It's creepy and pretty at the same time.

  • One more month

  • I stayed there for 4 days 3 weeks ago. I stayed at Port Orleans for 7 days and this resort for 4 days for my 11 day visit. It was awesome! Thanks! You make pretty good videos!

  • this is where i stayed it was soo fun

  • if me and my family ever go, this is the resort we choose

  • Nice video. Disney and Vegas have the coolest themed hotels around.

  • @ 3:18 that person coming down the slide with the little kid looks suspiciously like me and my little brother. when was this video taken?

  • July 8th 2008 based on the youtube date. It may have been a day or two before that though.

  • i love the polynesian it was awesome the rooms are huge nd the landscaping nd pool is amazing nd i love the monorail its my fav part i loved our view everything was really good except capt cooks for dinner didnt have much

  • i stayed there

  • It's kind of hard to believe this place was created by humans isn't it?

  • really nice video, one of my favorite Disney World resorts. :)

  • i love Disney world ! you get a warm fuzzy magical feeling inside when you are there and this hotel is amazing ive been going 2 this hotel for as long ass i could remember! i cant wait till this summer ! im going for my 8th grade graduation!

  • That is great, enjoy your trip. Check back afterwards and let us know how everything went.

  • These hotels room arn't like shit right? I mean 5 starts should be like...golden toilet seats or something

  • the rooms are really nice and they are extremely clean... and the bathrooms are really nice too..! this hotel is really really fun clean and beautiful

  • Well then that means I dont have to complain to the resort ^^

  • I have never stayed at this hotel, but I would love to! I went to Disney World recently and it was the BEST trip of my life! I agree with 8JB7love2008, you do get a fuzzy feeling when you think, talk, or look at Disney World! For anyone who is wondering if it is worth going to or not, take it from me: IT IS! You will never ever regret going to the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!

  • I stayed at this hotel during Christmas and had the most amazing view there, It doesnt matter if you had a better suite than we did but we really did have the best view of Magic Castle, it's beautiful at night. The fireworks, The water, The weather was decent a little hot but what can you expect from Florida. The hotel is gorgous, even though I was hardly there to see everything. No matter the age or what your taste is you will enjoy this place.

  • Hi "NoOne1307" - I also love the Poly and know what you mean about the castle view from the room at night. I love waking up during the night to see the castle in different colors. Next time, spend a couple of hours lying on the beach under a palm tree and listening to the sounds around you! And try sitting in the lounge waiting area at night listening to the live music. It's especially enjoyable after a long, hot day at the parks. I love that hotel. Wish I could live there!

  • haha me too that would be amazing, I was actually thinking of spending a year between highschool and college to work for money so I wouldnt have to work while I was taking my courses and thought might as well work at disney and enjoy the fun every family is having. And next time we go I will make sure I sit in the lounge area at night it sounds soothing(:

  • i stayed at that hotel.... amazing!!!! oh my gosh i wanna go back!!!! it really is the happiest place on earth!!!

everytime someone says something about it i get this like fuzzy feeling inside... lol.. and im turning 15!!!!!

haha i just love disneyworld <33333

  • im going monday!!!!! W00T!!

  • how much does it cost to stay there in one night?

  • The rack rates are $355 for a standard room in the value season up to $2,900 for the King Kanehaneha Club Suite durring peak season. You can get discounts at different times, for example Florida Resident, Annual Passholder, Military Personal, etc...

  • is 355 per night or per person?

  • $355.00 a night my friend! Well worth it. Make sure to dine and eat at Ohana.

  • at night?

    good

at least I can stay 2 nights there

  • i want to go there is my dream and when i see those movies like the little mermaid i only see the first part when they show the park thats my dream now i am 11 but i dream with go there wen i was have 4 years well i think that i cant talk very good the english but i have to practice if im gonna go someday!! =D

  • going here april 27th!! sooo excitedd :)

  • Check back and let us know how your stay was...

  • i will :)

  • haha parents and children going down the slide together will get you yelled at.

  • Love this hotel. Wish I could afford it. Ah, childhood memories...

    This music is amazing, btw.

  • Just for anyone else wondering, this hotel is AMAZING. It's my fav. The atmosphere of the Polynesian is the best. The new food court is awesome with touch screen ordering, they give you a buzzer for when your food is ready. There are 2 pools, I believe the quiet pool is open 24 hours. Volleyball court, monorails so you can get right to the park, arcade, there's a restauarant and a bar/lounge upstairs. I can't wait to go again. If anyone has any questions, you can ask me as well. I love disney!

  • How many people can the Polynesian rooms fit? Because my family of 5 wants to visit WDW.

  • I don't know how to answer this.... I know that Disney has a problem with five people in most hotel rooms, which I think they are nuts for, as I have three kids and thus a party of five as well.

However, I did just check on their website and was able to get a quoted price for a party of 5 at the Polynesian, so I guess you can. We normally are going with other families and put our youngest with another family on paper.

Have a fun trip, and come back and let us know how it went.

  • I've been to Disney a LOT of times. I'm going again this summer and I wanted to watch this video to make me more excited haha. I am going to the Polynesian and there are 5 of us. There are 2 queen sized beds, and one single bed/couch up against the wall. You'll have no problem fitting all of you.

  • Would you recommend this hotel???

  • Yes, I sure would, it is a very nice hotel, especially if you are going to take some time at the hotel. If you are going to only do the parks and your on a budget then perhaps a different hotel would be what you are looking for. However, if the hotel rate of a deluxe is in your budget and you have the time to plan some downtime this is a great resort. Perfect for walking around at night, watching the fireworks beach side. Being on the monorail loop, and decor is great as well.

  • I love this hotel! im going to disney during the summer and we are staying here! We usually stay at the Grand Floridian but its time for a changeee.

  • just asking ive never been 2 this resort why is it they best? and a video doesnt really do its justice as acutally being there. so why is it the best?

  • For me this is in the top 5 due to the atmosphere. It is just very nice place to walk around and you actually can feel as though your in the islands. Being on the monorail and a short walk to TAT for a monorail to Epcot is also a big plus.

While I love most resorts at WDW I think my top five are Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, Ft. Wilderness, Contemporary, Polynesian.

  • i love the beach club and i love the poly they are also my favorties wen my family goes to disney for my 8th grade graduation next yr were hopin to afoord the beach lub

  • i love going to this hotel in the summer! cuz i love the volcano slide!

  • Ever since I visited this resort I knew I'd have to come here on my honeymoon!

  • Music is cool but love the actual sounds in the hotel too.

  • Our favorite Disney hotel. Any room.

Stayed in the princess Ohana Suite once. SHWWEEEET!

Like the Contemporary as well, nut must be(Tower Magic Kingdom View)

  • I'm going there in 17 days, so does anyone know if the pool will be open or not?

  • Yes, it normally would be open this time of year.

  • lol thanks, I was getting worried!!! lol

  • ohh man the Kona Cafe was the best!

  • Agreed! I loooove the Pineapple Coconut bread. mmmmmm

  • OMG, Me 2! that was the best!

  • OMG! i LOVE the Polynesian! BEST hotel EVER!

  • going there soon

  • Does anyone have a picture of the old monorail sign that used to be in the lobby? I think it was on the mezzanine just inside the doors.
