захлебнется isn't drown, Jove is more correct with 'choke,' but I translated it as 'smother' in this context.
I agree that псих is not "what a weirdo" but I think a better translation is "freak," which maintains the vowels & syllable count, as well the kind of eye-rolling disdain with which it is used.
I'd use Hedgehog & Bear Cub as names... no "the Hedgehog"s.

The contextually delimited idealized cognitive model of "захлебнуться" is beyond my sophistication, but this is what my friend said: "Ёжик говорит о тумане, как о жидкости, а эти глаголы [choke, smother] могут указывать на газообразную среду. 'Захлебнуться' - исключительно жидкость."
