@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS I watched both videos. I feel you where u and the ethiopian chic are comin from and in many aspects i agree. From reading most of the comments i can see alot of people are missin "THE MESSAGE". Some ppl would go as far to blaming the WHITE MAN for potraying blacks this way, there wouldn't be anything to portray if some black ppl didn't feed into it right? And in case some of yall or wondering, yes i'm black and no i don't hate my own race. I'm just tired of all the ignorance.
I agree with your video I haven't even seen the video the ethiopian woman posted yet. But black people are just stuck in a sensitive mode for no reason, seeing someone else view on us as a unit should make you want to change something. Black people as a whole need to get over this installed Jim Crow Laws that are implanted into our minds. We do lack in everything from owning businesses to marriage. Black women need to see people do give out constructive criticism we just over look it.
i do disagree there are just as many wm unmarried as blk wm do your research blk ppl get married my father is a pastor i seen it myself how can the percentage be true when blk wm and blk men are getting every other day
By the way people, the comments being made about how weak black men are or how black women being strong or what ever shows how we as a people lack what is needed to be unified as a people. That's hate for one another black man vs black woman, the first thing that was done to blacks when we were dragged off the boat here in America was break up the families. Our identity was lost, we as a people must knock off this BS about our roles in life come together & talk about it....
LOL So you saying blkwomen are looking for a father figure because in the homes the blkmen are not there? Wonder why? Blame it on the blk woman, it's never the blk mans fault right? LOL.
Sistas are strong women, take some of the strength now and fight for yourselves, you can't depend on a lot of brothas. My slave grandmother saved the lives of blk men when the kkk came looking for them, she hid them, she lied putting her life on the line for them, and many others sistas before and after her did the same. People forget who they are and where they come from, so fuck em. sistas you come a long way, keep it strong.
SISTAS look at this stop supporting shit, listen to his words, I bet anything he wouldn't have had one nice thing to say about it if had been against the brothers. blk men the only times niggas want to stand by you is when they are broke and down. I'm proud to be black and I'm proud of my sistas if they want to have an attitude so fucking what, the blk man has had his attitude for years.
I'm going say I don't care how anyone feel. If that BITCH had said anything against blk men, we would hear, “she's ignorant for dogging the brothers, not all blkmen are like that, not all blk men make babies with different women, not all blkmen are drug dealers most blkmen are good men.ect ect the sistas would do most the fighting us! but when it comes to a sista? Lord, the first ones to support negative comments are brothers.
When I see vids like this, it's no wonder black people will never rise above fighting and waring. If people disagree with you it means we can't see the truth? Okay maybe that's just how you feel.
Every race has loud people, hispanics are extremely loud as well as some whites. U can't categorize the whole black ameican race or "Majority" by the black people you've met. I pride myself in being a Black American Woman. I speak proper english, I'm not ghetto, I'm educated and the qualities I look for in a man are the same qualities I uphold for myself; education, good work ethics and family oriented as well as goal oriented. You're pretty much looking down on "majority" of your own women.
Welp, sadly I have to agree that what the sista spoke about is indeed the truth. as ugly as it is, it is the truth. But that is no excuse to remain asleep. black women it is fine time that we as the collective do step our game up and stop being so quick to respond emotionally about any and everything. However black women surely did not arrive in this currect state alone. We must acknowledge that a problem exist before we can correct it..
I don't smoke or drink. If I have a vice, it is reading. I am a woman of quality. I don't need this defined by the type of man that will approach me. I define myself. You will find plenty of others like me in the black community - we are ignored by mainstream because to the world the black American is an uneducated, ignorant fool. It is NEVER okay for people to have the type of sentiment that Akat... addresses in her video. It is hatred in its most basic form.
The problem with Akat... message was not that she made the message and addressed it to African American women, but that she generalized it towards all AA women. I for one am an African American woman and I don't fit her generalizations. I work hard for everything I have. I have a wonderful husband (AA too) and we have a wonderful son. I'm not on welfare. I have an undergrad degree and am currently pursuing a graduate degree. I don't try to live some where just because the white man lives there.
i watched the video it was interesting,i will say that,I cant be offended for the simple fact im not who she described. But ultimately if she did a case study on black women she should have done the same on black men.where we come from our history.I'll just throw out Willie Lynch, and the breakdown of his theories and how they were applied to the slaves and see how it correlates with today's black society. We as black americans still struggle with the "isms" in 2012,as a people we need to progress.
you inspire me for real.i'm just startin to make my videos (check em out on my channel if ya want, i only got 2 but it's a start) and i love how honest you are.
HAVEN'T SEEN THE ETHIOPIAN'S VIDEO, DON'T PLAN TO--MY QUESTION IS WHY EVERYBODY LIKE TO CRITIQUE BLACK PEOPLE...THEY DON'T CRITIQUE THEIR OWN CULTURE'S/RACE---ARE THEY PERFECT? THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BLACKS AND OTHE RACES IS OUR MESS IS PUBLIC, THEIR DIRTY LAUNDRYIS PRIVATE. THERE'S A LOT OF MESS IN THE ETHIOPIAN CULTURE THAT SHE CAN RANT ABOUT ON YOUTUBE BUT SHE WON'T. BLACK WOMAN IS THE EASIEST TARGET IN THE WORLD TO ATTACK, WHY IS THAT BLACK MEN? ANYHOW, I LIKE YOUR OBJECTIVITY.
i agree with you on this one most of the stuff that she said is sad but its true, i see it everyday, but she jus callin it like she see it.i jus wish our race as black could do better as a whole instead of bringing each other down, becuz at this point we should stop blaming other people
she is fucking right and im not saying that because im also Ethiopian she may over do it a bit like not all black american females act like that but most do. She is right but people don't fucking listen they are blinded
Cont: we look like the bad race because you dont see white or other races putting 100s of blogs and videos up about how many problems they have, indeed we need to confront our problems but at the same time I feel like w are exploiting ourselves end other races if ppl are during back laughing saying "look at the stupid blacks , they are so insecure
I disagree with trying to find a man to be my father figure I want a man to have a significant other but as a black woman I will be the first to admit that black women have problems in relationships because they talk too much; on the contrary relationship problems ate not only with blacks ppl keep trying to make everything a black problem...i feel like blacks that constantly talk about how blacks have issues are the ones that are keeping us down, we look like the bad race
You're right brotha I agree with you and her , and I'm a proud african american male. African american women stopping followers and be yourself. Dont fall in love with the status of a brotha. Fall in love with a man that matches you as a teammate. Stop getting with men that you think your girlfriends are going to like find out what you like in a man and let it be. It's called confidence and not being insecure.
Black people don't know that the BIBLE is their HISTORY book as well as a religious book that in which the white man control the minds of the ones that are so religious and if you read the religious part of the Bible there are somethings that are not right. If you read the history of it you would find that it's indeed your history YAH had writing about for you to find your way back to him but only the open minded ones who are the true people of YAH will find him.
The WHITE MAN lie is to BRAIN WASH all dark skin people to believe the are all the same and for hundreds of years they believe everything that was told to them. Now they are saying there no such thing that BLACK people are mix not even with Native American Indian and back in those days Indians had slaves also but they treated them like family in most case they was the spouse of the Native Indians but to call them slaves was to protect them from the white man.
There are BIG difference in the BLACK race like there's a BIG difference in White race and BLACK don't think about this. We got our BLACK people who are well educated, who want's to help others of their kind. There are our NEGROS who are what we call UNCLE TOMS, still in slavery and don't know it. NIGGERS who don't care for no one but themselves and who will kill even their own mother. AFRO AMERICANS who are just living from day to day. AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE FROM AFRICA BY CHOICE FROM AFRICA
man, why do blk ppl have to be so ghetto anyway, do i have to hear your phone conversation, the black women at my school look so angry, wtf is up with gettin mad cause someone is looking at you, i mean i wasnt even lookin at her i was just checkin out the scene and she looked at me like bitch if you ever look at me again ill kill you, like why are you sooo angry? brothas saggin in scrubs yo like wtf?! I LOVE MY BLACK PEOPLE!!!
Obama is African, not "black". Ethiopian girl is more closely related to Obama than the AA. The girl was right, and Im glad you agree with her. Wonderful video!
I know this old video...I have recently become a fan of yours, until I saw this. How can you agree with this woman?? She is promoting this stereotype of how WHITE ppl have portrayed us Black ppl in our society. She is saying that all Black women are loud, chaotic, etc, when come on you know that isn't true. Yes we have sum ghetto muthafkas (women and men) in our race but obviously we wouldn't have a Black president if every Black woman/man was how she describes. So disappointed in you man smh
@angelarene88 Really u defend all black people with Obama? and u disappointed in me?....Cool. U missed my message, it happens, if u dont watch my videos no more I understand.
Of course one Ethiopian does not speak for us all. But you must remember that she is an Ethiopian-American, which is nothing like an Ethiopian from Ethiopia. No need to be hurt by what others say. Its called freedom of speech and that's all she is expressing. Its her opinion only, even tho most people would agree with her.
I am Ethiopian. Akat is 100% Ethiopian. There is no "look of an Ethiopian". She is an Ethiopian highlander. I grew uo in Ethiopia, and my face structure, and hair is similar to hers. She did claim Ethiopia in videos she then deleted. No Ethio would claim Somali.
@somnabful. It might be hard for non-Ethiopians and non-Somalians to distinguish Somalians from Ethiopians but you can see it from her face structure that she's somalian not Ethiopian. By that I don't mean all Somalians have the same mentality as her, they do not! In fact they're nice, hospitable people. But I see people making response videos saying how Ethiopians are racist just because of her and that hurts me. And when did she say she was Ethiopian, it wasn't in the video
2. she was wrong bout THREE things : the fact that most of us are BAD [ um no.. attitude doesnt mae you bad ..rudeness doesnt make you bad ; lies/crime/murder/HATE does ]
[AS PREV. ADDRESSED ppl wanna be like us . Point . Blank .
but like you said they dnt want our status.
3. WE CAN speak proper English. i know many that can .&do lol
.&btwEthiopian is black so stop with the racist. Rob's right. We refuse to receive shit. smh
I JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW that this bitch is not Ethiopian! I know her, she's somalian and we went to the same HS! Anyone (black, white, yellow) can make racist comments, i'm not saying Ethiopians never do. I don't want ppl to think all Ethiopians are racist. Being that missy here is fucking racist, bitch probably hates Ethiopians and wants to create this racist reputation against them.
im a black woman and i wasnt at all offended by her comments. people are going to state what they feel and i must say some where fact like you said it was majority not all i wouldve gotten upset if she got on saying nonsense bullshit nigga this and chicken that type of shit.
@DANIGGAWITDATATTOS i do have to disagree with your claim of OUR BLACK SWAG, that starts at 4:40. You are generalizing that all black people do those things when instead it is the culture of hip hop. By saying that you yourself are enforcing those stereotypes that other races have of us. and the whole "acting black" is a dumb stereotype as well. The color of your skin represents ur race, not your speech, music, lol dick size :) Let's get the message
@HappyMe022 well out of all the comments Ive read you are the first person to disagree with that part lol but aight tho I think u misunderstood what I was saying. Thank you for watchn
@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS ..............I am not supporting the girl comments, but i think you shouldnt be responding to her. you should jus let your girl or sis respond to her. you should save your anger, tattoo and smoke, for rush limbaugh.heheheheheh
@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS as a African American women of the second generation (Nigeria), i actually had nothing bad to say. Everything she said she clearly said majority, not all. To be honest what she stated explains why there is an organization called BLACK GIRLS ROCK and MY BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, because black women today are not giving themselves the credit they deserve. I agree with what u said in the video completely
Black women are least likely to marry because many black women REFUSE to date inter-racially. Meanwhile, black MEN are more likely to go to jail than college and have the highest incarceration rates. So spare me the black woman hate because 60% of black college graduates are (black) WOMEN(myself included).
You chump, black women ARE NOT monolithic, so stop ASSuming that all black women live in the ghetto and are ugly and uneducated because that is far from the truth.
@researchsiempre Wow, somebodys mad lol. dont be the stereotype while u tryn to defend the fact that u are not, they shuda taught ya smart ass that in college. Thank u for watchn tho, I digress.
There is nothing like a strong beautiful woman. One like my grandmother, who was told she wasn't shit, a maid who worked many nights to provide for my mom. And to my mom who grew up poor and was told she wasn't shit, studied business and open up her own accounting wing. and to me who was taught beauty from the inside. Earned her degree at age 22. but because i wear weave and come from an upbringing, have to be told black girls aint shit, its factual, deal with it, leave asian men alone. lol wow
@misstootsie123 I agree with your overall point, but you need to quit that weave bullsh!t unless you're completely bald. Be proud of your natural hair and stop buying into false European standards of beauty.
From my experience living overseas, in NYC and elsewhere in the U.S., African's don't associate themselves with American Black/African Americans. From what I've gathered, they think we're loose (sexually) and ignorant. I was surprised to hear that opinion over and over again. Sad.
That's her own "opinion." I agree with her to a certain extinct. I'm a nurse, and wasnt born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I don't want to date anyone below my level, as well. I had to work very hard to get where I am today and don't need a "thug" to bring me down. She right....
People Need To Understand That If Your Going To Speak Then Speak Upon All Cultures.. All cultures Have Their Faults.. It There Is Nothing Wrong With Learning About Other Races It Called Brooding There Horizons.. It having Knowledge Im Black, Dominican, And Irish And I'm Learning Japanese And Fench IT Nothing Wrong With That So That Very Ingnorant.. And If Anything The Black Men Are The One's Dropping Out Of School, Not Going To College And Whatever Else Speak All Facts Not Some!
I didn't, however, agree with when she stated that other cultures don't want to be like us--to a certain extent. And my man did address this in his video post as well. Other cultures want to LOOK like us physically, but they definitely don't want our lives and social status in the world--TRUST ME. That is hellaripe to say but true...
I assume that makes me an anomaly because I decided to overcome and get an education. I have an undergraduate and masters in education and am an ENGLISH teacher. So, what she was saying I believe is the raw truth, no matter how hurtful and ugly it is. But, she didn't generalize with a statement of ALL Black women. She said MOST Black women. And, I am ashamed and saddened at this harsh reality. I wish nothing but the best for my people, and hope we all wake up and reach for way more in life.
I watched the video as well, and wasn't offended as well. Maybe because a lot of what she was addressing was unfortunately true but didn't all pertain to me. I am a Black woman that came from a single-parent, poverty-stricken home in the projects. My father was Nigerian and absent. I had my grandfather but my childhood had many harrowing, traumatic events.
So, why isn't that worth calling out? Why isn't that assimilation? Again, I didn't miss the point of what she was trying to do but...you can't tell me nothing. Fix whats going on in your country. Before you can go in on me and mine make sure yours is straight. Is Ethiopia this Black utopia where there are no prejudices within the ranks? Overall, I didn't dig her video. It was done with a elitist spirit ( i'm better than you b/c i'm different).
Thing 1: I just subbed to your channel, I love your videos. Okay lets get down to brass tacks. I didn't miss the message of her video. I felt what she was trying to do but, i had a couple of problems with her points in the message. Black women assimilate to other cultures with the weaves and "it's Barbie b*tch... Everyone of my friends FROM Africa (1st and 2nd generation) wear weave. I mean their Grandmas, Aunties, Cousins, Baby sisters and so on has a weave or a wig. IN Africa, they wear weave.
@JungleCityKilla Um, wow...thought we were on respectful terms, not throwing angry profane replies. When I say he, I'm referring to the guy in this video. I understand using black and white as a way to label a people is 'recent;' as I understand that people specifically outside of the US, refer to themselves by their place of origin. But, you're basically saying what I'm saying. Black is a general label, which is what the guy in this video is using instead of...
@hellokittycutie2003 cont'd...specifically saying African American as the Ethiopian girl did. I'm pretty sure we're arguing the same argument, just in different ways. My entire gripe was the fact that the guy in this video is using the general label, black, instead of specifying...which would be proper, seeing that African American's and Ethiopian's can both be considered "black." I've pretty much said all I can say.
@JungleCityKilla I don't think you're really understanding me. I know the Ethiopian girl spoke specifically about a certain people, but he did NOT make that specification. He simply said black, as if Ethiopian's aren't or cannot be considered black. African American nor Ethiopian are races, but rather cultures since both derive from the continent of Africa. My Somali father identifies with a tribe, but still considers himself to be black. Do you see what I'm getting at?
@JungleCityKilla True, but let's not make it seem as if the mixture is as direct as a parent being of a different race. Still, majority of African American's have more African blood than any other. He didn't say Ethiopian girl vs African American women, he said Ethiopian girl vs Black women...as if she's not black. I'm also East African (half), as I stated above, and never have I considered myself to be half-black. I'm bi-cultural (or nationality), not bi-racial.
nah rob bra the bitch talking out her ass since when do hood rats chase after asian men be real you think that asian mufcka gonna be going for that ignorance
I'm not gonna try to clown or nothing but plain and simple I disagree. You cant say majority, because you haven't met a majority of any race. I've met black women of all kinds. From different walks of life. I've noticed some of these well for lack of a better word "stereotypes" in other races of women. So we are not alone.
Why do you keep separating her as if she's not the same race as black American's? She's a different nationality, but not race. I'm half Somali (dad's side), and he's never separated the two. He's always called himself a black man, and is proud of that.
I DISAGREE WITH MOST OF HER ARGUMENT IN THE VIDEO BUT HER OPINION IS JUST THAT....AS FAR AS THE MARRIAGE SITUATION IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY THERE'S A LOT OF FACTOR WHY BLACK WOMEN ARE NOT GETTING MARRIED AT THE RATE OF OTHER RACES/AS FAST AS OTHER BLACK WOMEN FROM OTHER COUNTRY'S ...AS FAR AS CULTURE GOES THE RENAISSANCE WAS THE START OF BLACK AMERICAN CULTURE IN MY OPINION..I DO AGREE THAT BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN IS DAMAGE BUT BLACK AMERICA ON A WHOLE IS DAMAGE .. I DONT THINK SHE IS RACIST.
Keep in mind that MANY foreign black people are jealous of the African-American, though far from perfect, we are the most watched and talked about blacks on earth, when the world thinks of black people the world thinks of the AA. In the last 150 years MOST of the rich, powerful and famous blacks came from the USA not very many from other places on earth so there will be some resentment. WHEN YOU ARE #1, THERE WILL BE HATERS, it goes with the territory.
@freedomfighter8101 Ur friend's eyes are closed, thats all, she got hung up with her delivery not the reality of what she was saying, not everything she said was true, but there was a lot of truth in it that BW will just deny cuz they feel like they are the exception, but aww well, cant save em all.
dam im Eritrean east africa and i love a african american woman they are fine as hell plus that Ethiopian chick got clear problems. Did u saw her face she really hates aa. Im disgusted by her tfoeeee
Those of you that think that you are better than african american women have serious problems, when you bring your ass to the united states people see us all the same NIGGERS, it does matter if you are from africa, the islands or any other place. If you want to educate then educate but if you want to tear us down then you haters of blacks can kiss my african american ass.
I watched the whole video and I'm not offended at all, but offended that you as a man of color agree with what she says, because not all black americans or even majority of black americans is what she described. this is the ignorance I'm talking about. I believe you should live how you want to live, but why do we have to put our own race down to lift our selves up and I'm not saying you put anyone down i'm just speaking in general. To be honest with you her opinion but her opinion is racist.
Well my dad is from the islands and my mom is from georgia and what i learned since i was a child is the cultures are different from ours here in the united states. People of the Islands and africa for example are brought up different from those in the united states, because of the influences of there culture. Even though we all have great similarites. People need to know that there is alot of african american women that know there culture and embrace it and live it.
...sense that black women would follow along with the American trend; seeing as the American culture is now their culture and has been for many years now. I could continue but my comment is getting a bit out of hand now, but I hope that next time she could share her opinion in a more respectful way and actually researched her "facts" instead of basing it all on opinion. BTW, this is coming from a biracial American woman who does not fit any one of the stereotypes that she claimed to be factual.
@vernicia07 ur comment is long but I wud like to key in on ur last sentence cuz thats the most important one, If ur not like what she described then tell me why it bothers you?
@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS I never stated that her video bothered me at all. I simply stated a reason as to why she may have gotten so much backlash. You don't have to be bothered by something to make a statement. She is entitled to her opinion, I just think there may have been a better way to state her opinion to avoid the horrible backlash that she did receive, i.e. not claiming her opinion as being factual. She had a very subjective view but presented it very objectively.
...and culture, told how to think, act, what to believe, and eventually forgot all of the beautiful culture that they once had that made them unique. 200 yrs later you are not going to know your culture if you were never taught it. Therefore, those black women tended to grab onto the traditional "American" culture, as to fit in and normalize themselves. Barbie, the great example you brought up, is a huge trend in todays American culture. Although Barbie was originally white, it only makes...
...generalize and group the black community as a whole. It is hard to state a fact about thousands of people in one country if you have not met even a "majority" (majority meaning more that 50%) of those people. There were also many fallacies in her statements, one being that black women take on different cultures because they are desperate. As she stated in her video, many black women in America are descendants of West African slaves who were brought to America, stripped of their identity...
I think that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think the one thing that disturbed the black community was the way that she presented herself. She came off as a very educated woman who was not "Black American" because her parents are from East Africa and therefore she is better than every other "Black American". I think she failed to realize that Ethiopians are in fact black, and since she is a citizen of this country she is considered a "Black American". She also tended to...
@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS I really appreciate your honesty. As an Ethiopian woman I was offended by what my fellow Ethiopian posted as her experession of African-American women. In all honesty, I've lived in the US for many, many years and have received more hate from African American women just by being an Ethiopian. It's sad but true.
In Addition, she said no one wants to be like African-American women (I agree) but the whole world wants to be like African American men. This is a fact!
yoooo. The group won't let me even request to join on FB. & as far as what you are speakin on about that chick, I agree to a degree...as far as "wiggers" lol well, I don't care about what those whiteboys but I personally have gotten into it with alot of them since I ACTUALLY COME FROM what they THINK they are from. In general I don't like POSERS. Hence the reason I do me. I dont care what is acting white or black. damn that.
Something that I am really getting tired of. Being called African American, I have never been to Africa was not born there or anything. Yes my ancestors are from there but I have never been there. Or even being called black, last I checked my skin is brown. Why is it so hard to just call me American. AFter all I was born and raised in American. ***rant over***
@Jazziefresh89 . Ur foreparents came from Africa, but ur tired of being called African American. I find that statement very contradictory, I'll prefer it, if u say ur ancestors never came from there.
@afroblack1000 And Caucasian decended from Europeans, But what are they called??? just Americans. I was born and raised in North Carolina, not West Africa or any other part of Africa. That just makes me American period. Now I can see if one of my parents were African then I wouldnt mind.
@afroblack1000..Just because you look doesnt make you that. And its a generalization, just because you have darker skin it makes you an "African" American. What do you called the caucasian looking Africans. technically they should be African American, but they come over here and automatically consider white
@Jazziefresh89 . No such thing as a caucasian looking African, stop lying to yourself. As long as a man/woman looks Black regardless of nationality, that man/woman has an African DNA. Even though opinions may differ on the subject, DNA don't lie.......and DNA is the evidence that proves one ancestral lineage.
@afroblack1000 There are people that are born in Africa that look caucasian...Everyone has African DNA. I never denied that I have African heritage. But my family has no other ties to Africa other than slavery. We have been in America since, we even have white, indian and puerto rican intertwined
@afroblack1000 Im not trying to convince you, its actually the other why around. I dont think that African should be apart of my title when my family has been in the USA for generations, dating back to slavery.
@Jazziefresh89 I had planned on making a video on based on this very premise, people going be mad as hell at me for what I say but awww well, Ima fuckn American period.
@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS I am sure that you will get a lot of hate from that. I do when someone hears that... I always did "oh so you dont like your heritage" or "you think that you are too good to be called Afican American"
@Jazziefresh89 hey the fact that you acknowledge your ancestors are Africans, doesn't that mean you have some african blood and therefore african american? i was born in london, mums of african decent, dad's white, (welsh decent to be exact), but i wont say i'm british. i'm mixed race; african and british. boy, it seems like people these days seems to be ashamed about being associated with african/ africans and thats sad. be proud of who you are :)
@xSexiiChiicx I am proud of who I am and I am not ashamed of my African ancestors. All I am saying is: why call me African American when no one in my family has been African since Slavery. I am American point blank period. I was born and raised in America, my parents were born and raised in America so nd so forth. I am not ashamed of Africans, Im not ashamed of my heritage. Not making this racially but whites/caucasians are labeled as just Americans when there ancestors are...
@Jazziefresh89 yerrr i get you, especially on the point bout how whites arent called european americans. Obviously i can't tell you what to label yourself, it just doesn't sit well with me when people tell me i'm not (half) african cuz none of my family's been there and i haven't been there either. the fact that i've got african heritage, boy i'm african, i've got some physical appearance (lips, nose shape etc...) and appearance is a major part of a persons life, therefore its kinda impossible..
@xSexiiChiicx I understand where you are coming from also. I just feel. My family has been in this country for centuries. I am sure that all African links have been bred out. The only thing that my family have come close to Africans is the ladies that do our micro braids. Maybe you can be a African Welsh British,,,lol it was a joke not meant to be offensive sorry if i did offend you
@xSexiiChiicx CONT....Europeans. so why not call them european Americans??? This did not come from being ashamed of my heritage that is not the case. I was born in America, raised in america, and most likely die in America. I have never been to Africa, and may never go. I think they are beautiful people, like all people, but all I share with them is skin color.
(1) Hi!!! I am soo glad i found this video! lol I just felt so relieved that a fello black person agreed with some of things this woman was pointing out; Because what
she was saying is very true; And african american woman or just black people in general need to se
e that. Im an african american woman myself, and i cant try to sugar coat what the truth is...well i can but i wont :) lol
Your video is so stupid, first of all no one could ever say most or all because unless you poll most or all your statics are with out bases. I'm so sick of people sterotyping Black Women with out all the data. THIS WOMAN FAMILY is from a 3rd world country who does not consider themsleves to be Black. It's people like you,who fuel this less than a woman's opionn, please go and pick up a DICTIONARY,reading is fundemental, and proper english is a must...
@danniggawitdatattoss Hey man. I finally listened to the girls video in total, which i really didnt do before. That girl has psychological issues of her own regardless of the the things which may be true about what may be our damaged Women here. I listened to her closely. It is very true that Ethiopians are teeming with a rich culture and custom but she came off to me as a damaged Soul but it is little more of veiled damaged soul. This lady clearly hate Black American Women.
@BonusCivis What really lost me is when she seemed not to be happy even when the Black American Woman successfully landed a White or Asian Male, Which they are doing regardless of the Method. Her criticisms on that were ridiculous. That comment was a little suspect. I think this soul on this girl is a disguised dark damaged one. This is why Sisters need to rely on themselves and do not even consider looking at Women or Men like her as potential allies but rather a dangerous poison and enemy.
@BonusCivis As a Black Man that truly makes me believe Black women have no Allies and only themselves to rely on. That seem like an all out attack and for me to ask that chick to do any grassroots activity; Hell would freeze over first. They will have to navigate their own ways through such nonsense and animus. My other comments I was halfway Joking I didn't realize that she was that far out there. But t the positive end you derived from it is all true and simply leveling but shes twisted.
@BonusCivis My posing the question of someone like her doing constructive acts in those communities she criticizing, Hell would Freeze over first before that Chick would ever consider a community oriented action that actually gives and creates. That is a purely selfish survivalist soul on that one. Is she implying that places like France and England in which they have other types of blacks or just socially perfect Utopias for black people. We forget London was burned down this year by Who?
@BonusCivis The Blacks this year in London didn't exactly burned down London and beat up and robbed the other poor immigrant kids in London because the True English(The Real Ones not the Honorary Ones) were not exactly French Kissing them (The Blacks in Europe and France and England) in The Mouth. We need to fix our problems and many of her criticisms were true but don't let this young lady promote such a deceptive image.
@BonusCivis Academia I personally would love to see more Zeal on that in Black America along with true prioritizing but is that really where we've been putting our energy into our youths?
@BonusCivis She might be damaged but Im not and I know whats reality and whats not. I didnt agree on anything she said but the shit that I know to be true. Thank u for watchn
@sidvidle We are one. Hopefully we can one day overcome the things that could be a cultural hindrance regarding this topic if it truly is a problem with what may be a lack of Culture..

You're pretty much looking down on "majority" of your own women.
ebonyb34 2 weeks ago

WhatAMockery2012 2 weeks ago

Black people don't know that the BIBLE is their HISTORY book as well as a religious book that in which the white man control the minds of the ones that are so religious and if you read the religious part of the Bible there are somethings that are not right. I am Ethiopian. Akat is 100% Ethiopian. There is no "look of an Ethiopian". She is an Ethiopian highlander. I grew uo in Ethiopia, and my face structure, and hair is similar to hers. She did claim Ethiopia in videos she then deleted. No Ethio would claim Somali.
somnabful 1 month ago

I wish nothing but the best for my people, and hope we all wake up and reach for way more in life.
sweeeti78 1 month ago
I watched the video as well, and wasn't offended as well. Maybe because a lot of what she was addressing was unfortunately true but didn't all pertain to me.

Black is a general label, which is what the guy in this video is using instead of...
hellokittycutie2003 1 month ago
@hellokittycutie2003 cont'd...specifically saying African American as the Ethiopian girl did. I'm pretty sure we're arguing the same argument, just in different ways. My entire gripe was the fact that the guy in this video is using the general label, black, instead of specifying...which would be proper, seeing that African American's and Ethiopian's can both be considered "black." I've pretty much said all I can say.
hellokittycutie2003 1 month ago
@JungleCityKilla I don't think you're really understanding me. I know the Ethiopian girl spoke specifically about a certain people, but he did NOT make that specification. He simply said black, as if Ethiopian's aren't or cannot be considered black. African American nor Ethiopian are races, but rather cultures since both derive from the continent of Africa. My Somali father identifies with a tribe, but still considers himself to be black. Do you see what I'm getting at?
hellokittycutie2003 1 month ago
@JungleCityKilla True, but let's not make it seem as if the mixture is as direct as a parent being of a different race. Still, majority of African American's have more African blood than any other. He didn't say Ethiopian girl vs African American women, he said Ethiopian girl vs Black women...as if she's not black. I'm also East African (half), as I stated above, and never have I considered myself to be half-black. I'm bi-cultural (or nationality), not bi-racial.

Something that I am really getting tired of. Being called African American, I have never been to Africa was not born there or anything. Yes my ancestors are from there but I have never been there. Or even being called black, last I checked my skin is brown. Why is it so hard to just call me American. AFter all I was born and raised in American. ***rant over***
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago 2
@Jazziefresh89 . Ur foreparents came from Africa, but ur tired of being called African American. I find that statement very contradictory, I'll prefer it, if u say ur ancestors never came from there.
afroblack1000 1 month ago
@afroblack1000 And Caucasian decended from Europeans, But what are they called??? just Americans. I was born and raised in North Carolina, not West Africa or any other part of Africa. That just makes me American period. Now I can see if one of my parents were African then I wouldnt mind.
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 . Yes you are American, however ur physical appearance is very African and that is what I see. U
afroblack1000 1 month ago
@afroblack1000..Just because you look doesnt make you that. And its a generalization, just because you have darker skin it makes you an "African" American. What do you called the caucasian looking Africans. technically they should be African American, but they come over here and automatically consider white
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 . No such thing as a caucasian looking African, stop lying to yourself. As long as a man/woman looks Black regardless of nationality, that man/woman has an African DNA. Even though opinions may differ on the subject, DNA don't lie.......and DNA is the evidence that proves one ancestral lineage.
afroblack1000 1 month ago
@afroblack1000 There are people that are born in Africa that look caucasian...Everyone has African DNA. I never denied that I have African heritage. But my family has no other ties to Africa other than slavery. We have been in America since, we even have white, indian and puerto rican intertwined
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 . Please stop lying to yourself, it's not healthy
afroblack1000 1 month ago
@afroblack1000 How am I lying to myself??? Please further explain
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 . I'm sorry you can't convince me otherwise, I believe in physical evidence and not opinion
afroblack1000 1 month ago
@afroblack1000 Im not trying to convince you, its actually the other why around. I dont think that African should be apart of my title when my family has been in the USA for generations, dating back to slavery.
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 . Like I said before, you are an American with an African look, so stop lying to yourself.....

@DANIGGAWITDATATTOOS I am sure that you will get a lot of hate from that. I do when someone hears that... I always did "oh so you dont like your heritage" or "you think that you are too good to be called Afican American"
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 hey the fact that you acknowledge your ancestors are Africans, doesn't that mean you have some african blood and therefore african american? i was born in london, mums of african decent, dad's white, (welsh decent to be exact), but i wont say i'm british. i'm mixed race; african and british. boy, it seems like people these days seems to be ashamed about being associated with african/ africans and thats sad. be proud of who you are :)
xSexiiChiicx 1 month ago
@xSexiiChiicx I am proud of who I am and I am not ashamed of my African ancestors. All I am saying is: why call me African American when no one in my family has been African since Slavery. I am American point blank period. I was born and raised in America, my parents were born and raised in America so nd so forth. I am not ashamed of Africans, Im not ashamed of my heritage. Not making this racially but whites/caucasians are labeled as just Americans when there ancestors are...
Jazziefresh89 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 yerrr i get you, especially on the point bout how whites arent called european americans. Obviously i can't tell you what to label yourself, it just doesn't sit well with me when people tell me i'm not (half) african cuz none of my family's been there and i haven't been there either. the fact that i've got african heritage, boy i'm african, i've got some physical appearance (lips, nose shape etc...) and appearance is a major part of a persons life, therefore its kinda impossible..
xSexiiChiicx 1 month ago
@Jazziefresh89 contd to live your life and not have that as a "title" that identifies you...
xSexiiChiicx 1 month ago
@xSexiiChiicx I understand where you are coming from also. I just feel. My family has been in this country for centuries. I am sure that all African links have been bred out. The only thing that my family have come close to Africans is the ladies that do our micro braids. Maybe you can be a African Welsh British,,,lol it was a joke not meant to be offensive sorry if i did offend you

@Jazziefresh89 loool! yerr girl! oh na you didnt offend me at all, far from that.. it's all blessed :)
xSexiiChiicx 1 month ago
@xSexiiChiicx CONT....Europeans. so why not call them european Americans??? This did not come from being ashamed of my heritage that is not the case. I was born in America, raised in america, and most likely die in America. I have never been to Africa, and may never go. I think they are beautiful people, like all people, but all I share with them is skin color.

BonusCivis 2 months ago
@BonusCivis The Blacks this year in London didn't exactly burned down London and beat up and robbed the other poor immigrant kids in London because the True English(The Real Ones not the Honorary Ones) were not exactly French Kissing them (The Blacks in Europe and France and England) in The Mouth. We need to fix our problems and many of her criticisms were true but don't let this young lady promote such a deceptive image.
BonusCivis 2 months ago
@BonusCivis Academia I personally would love to see more Zeal on that in Black America along with true prioritizing but is that really where we've been putting our energy into our youths?
