Is anyone else a little surprised how accepting Joey Fatone is to Maher's views? Mainstream American companies like TV Guide usually don't alienate their religious base. In regards to the debate on the merits of religion; the science we today know as "facts" will be disproven over and over again, probably as long as humans populate this planet.

Old science gets discarded and replaced with newer studies. That's why it's reliable.

Religion (take crhistianity) on the other hand, is faith-based. And most people know it's made up, but just find comfort in the easy answers found in one single book.

We have sequenced DNA and fossils. We can observe the mutation and evolution of viruses. How do you think modern medicine works?

biogenesis, life today does not arise in areas that have not been contaminated by existing life. i understand life adapts to its environment here on earth and there can be small forms of evolution but to think that in simple term we this is just a big coincidence of accidents in nature, that somehow formed out of nothing seems to be the one of the biggest superstitions.
