Anyone interested in Churchill (during the war, and after), will be well served by reading "The Fringes of Power" by John Colville, one of his private secretaries .
Colville kept a secret diary which is extremely enlightening to read,

Churchill turned Hitler's regional Polish-German conflict into a WORLD WAR, by dragging the fucking Americans into war.
Churchill did that twice: turning European wars into WORLD WARS, he already did it with the LUSITANIA-Fraud in 1915. This insane man is the main culprit for BOTH WORLD WARS.
Churchill wrote of Elliott Roosevelt's tactlessness at a diplomatic function in Moscow, where Churchill felt affronted and chastened E.R. on that occasion.
I knew that Churchill loved to smoke but I had no idea that he took this cigars into the bathtub! I cannot believe that they recounted the bathroom scene with Churchill & Roosevelt. I guess that he was either so comfortable around Roosevelt that he felt like he was a brother figure or that he wanted to prove that he had nothing to hide. I assume that having been a solider that Churchill was used to lacking privacy but I would not have expected him to do that in front of an important person.
You are the BEST, Blatttman!!! Thanks so much for this amazingly intelligent series. I read all of the massive volumes of Gilberts's bio' of Churchill so this is icing on the wonderful cake!

Churchill smoked until the day he died (90 years old). Make sure wonder if only smoking causes cancer.

The tales of Churchill's immodesty are legion. He would walk around naked in front of staff quite often. He just didn't care.

I have this on DVD but it is good to listen to it while at work. (Please do not tell my boss.)
It hurts inside that people attacked Churchill (calling him a waronger) just like many are being attacked today.
