I'm currently running flash 11.0.1.98. It is a beta version. I have had a few hiccups, but it's been pretty rare (GUI completely locks up for a minute).
My understanding is that you have to compile in VDPAU support with Mplayer, but I'm not 100% sure, the latest version of Mplayer might already have it.
also, does this series of cards support XV? i assume yes.

@JimDogYT Thanks for the swift response. My old and current R580 chip supports avivo, it's typical that flash does not.

hey thanks. a couple of questions:
this functionality in flash is still in beta right; have you noticed any stability issues?
what about other codecs such as mpeg4? i know mplayer does hardware acceleration but does it support the VDPAU library?
