Not if you are in Australia - I got the option without the PhysX card. Have found out that it lowers the Frames Per Second of games. Also it's definitely not worth the extra $200AU.
No it doesn't lowers the fps, you think it does because gamers that play Graw2 without it don't have the advanced Physics effects that the PPU enables so when you put one in it enables more effects them the GPU have more to render the AI more debris to account for so the FPS go down.
But if the game is made only for the PPU them you will see the opposite if you play with out it them the fps will go down, it is what happens with warmonger. with a PPU 55 fps with out one 7 fps.
My 1730 does lag as much as this so maybe its HIS laptop not everyone else's, maybe downloads porn too much and fucked it up. #lol

The aftermarket PhysX PPU isn't worth it.
Only 3 or 4 games support it.

Physics isn't controlled by any card itself.
The game engine is what fixes the physics.
Without the game engine using any sort of decent physics, you won't be able to use the card.
It's a waste of money. Go get yourself a decent GPU.
Anything can be destructible, having clothes ripple, etc. if the game engine allows it.
People are so ignorant these days.
