  • Most folks believe that are are problems, which is all this survey looks at. We mostly agree that things are ***** up. The problems arise when you get into solutions.

  • Goof Stuff! sick and tired of the teabaggers.

  • For those interested in The Sphere technology and its many uses (US Army, departments of labor, education, human resources, colleges, counselors, business consultants, etc.) a comprehensive response to the "criener" comment below, go to the Coffee Party USA website, scroll down page to video titled: Coffee Party Sphere: The Results, and click on that title. It takes you to secondary page with the posting.

  • Coffee Party is not a direct competitor with the Tea Party. It certainly is a play off of its name, but the Coffee Party is all inclusive to anybody of any political party or viewpoint that is willing to sit down and have a meaningful discussion about poltical issues. The point is to be civil and find common ground (frankly I feel this is the antithesis to many people that identify themselves as Tea Party affiliates...other than that, no relation)

  • I am really disappointed with the Coffee Party for giving this Phil Lawson a platform for his pseudoscientific snake oil of a software system and useless visual display of information. The sphere is confusing, misleading, and vague. What little value it does have could be much more easily portrayed using a much simpler chart.

  • There's a complete transcript of this event at the site Newsvine (in the Politics section)

  • But who were the respondents? It wasn't Tea Party people and Coffee Party people together--those who took the survey were mainly people interested in the Coffee Party--right? So, yes, of course they see things similarly.

  • @janzov you obviously don't know anything about the coffee party.

  • @jrbl1 Who took the survey? If you don't think I know anything about the Coffee Party, please enlighten me.

  • Divide and conquer has always been the way of those in power - this sphere shows that we are more similar than we are made out to be. Do you think the media misrepresents us? Since the corporations that own the media are the ones who profit from our attacking one another instead of them, I'd say YES.

  • This would have been appreciably more interesting if the presenter hadn't spent over five minutes at the start going over methodology and the value of the sphere concept. Frankly, I found it to be tedious. The actual results, once he got to them, were much more interesting.

  • Gee, guess what? If you ask a question the right way, you get most people to answer the same way! What a breakthrough!

  • @Axmanv90, did you take the sphere? Did you understand how it worked? When you say skewed and biased explain yourself, you use words common to the current tide in the already broken political system.

If you had participated you would understand how this project worked. If you participated and you still do not understand then please turn in your voter registration as you are not qualified to vote intelligently.

  • The metrics of this "reflection" are skewed and biased. It is also an extremely unscientific method of sampling similar to Fox or MSNBC phone polls. I wonder if any money will be made or any undue influence will come of this?

  • Fantastic - how do i get my sphere mapped ?

  • this is great! Real Great!!!!

  • Was looking forward to seeing the results. Great tool. Thanks, Phil & CP for making it available to us.

  • This is nice to hear, now if only the mainstream media would talk about it.
