I never said his theories were scientific. He is more important for artists and writers than scientists. And most psychology that are taught in college are not scientific, since most of it has no biological roots and do not take evolutionary theories into account.

@digitalairair I'd have to disagree, psychology is taught as a science with empirically observable and testable theories. Most psychological theories can be explained through an evolutionary perspective, if it's applicable. Also as far as I know all disorders in psychopathology are recognized as having a biological basis, though there are other factors as well.

Anyway, I am not really fond of Freud's ideals. Although he is on point about the fact that man is truly an antisocial and anticultural being. I like the notion that there is no such thing as an imperfect being, and the only way we can feel "complete" is through a series of illusions. Sometimes I think parenting is both a cruel projection of belonging and ongoing search of that final sense of satisfaction that never even comes, despite all the "accomplishments."

Why are all the scenes that are zoomed in on someones hand so slow? It makes the scene look unrealistic. Just some constructive criticism, you are a very talented artist, and this is an amazing video....also, when are more lifting videos gonna come?? I love watching you lift!!

Very cool. This is, I think, the second video you've done based on Freud's theories. Do you really believe much in Freud's work? I think he's been overrated. Much of his work is great, defense mechanisms come to mind. However, a lot of stuff was crud, his incest complex theories and his talk on immature and mature female orgasm for example.

Freud's ideas are relevant to artists and writers today more so than scientists. As and aritst and writer, I am very inclined to his theories because they help me think critically about my works while enhancing their levels of complexity, creativity, and sophistication. I do not believe in a lot of his theories myself, but I do not dismiss them completely. A few aspects of his theories can be proven plausible with today's advancement in neuroscience and cognitive/evolutionary psychology.
