What a Great video!! Such a selfless thing to do. I am going to do this some day. I have one son and we are going to start trying for baby #2 and after that this is something I am going to do. The look on the intended parents faces when looking at their babies makes it all worth it in the end!

@sahminaz --actually, no. My insurance was such that it would not cover my medical care if I was compensated. In addition, the couple I did this for are personal friends of mine. That said, I do not have any problem whatsoever with surrogates who choose to receive compensation.

A gestational surrogate carries the embryo produced from an IVF cycle using the eggs and sperm from the intended mother and father. A child conceived using a gestational surrogate is therefore created by using the genetic material from both of the intended parents.
