Its a necessity for the kids to be as far away from those parents. Those parents should be evaluated mentally to see if they are fit for the outside world. The parents should have never procreated.

well I dont think jail is the way to go. Family counseling IF the state lets them keep the kids. Jail will not change the way they act in the household. It might curb them from public displays to get noticed, but thats not the fundamental problem. Their problem lies in social values, and they clearly lack them. This is detrimental to the childrens upbringing. I dont think these parents have the nature to help their children function outside the walls of their own home.
@yerallmorons i agree, their family/social values are not "ideal" and counselling could help. from what i hear about the sentence, when one parent is in jail, the other is out, so, i t may serve as a constant reminder of the mistakes they made. Hope they do get counselling/help to re-evaluate what their priorities are (family), if they go through this and dont change, they deserve whatever comes their way! No reason to not be realistically optimistic of what could/could not happen.

The concept of Abrogation in the Quran cancels the "peaceful" ayat which Muslims quote to the un-witting. The 2nd to last chapter is #9. It remain un-abrogated to this day. You should read it.

I think Islam is faced by many of the challenges that Jews and Christians face, in trying to capture original meanings where contemporary language has changed from that of original intent. It renders the meanings very different to the new cultures who read Quran.

no, this isnt punishment. And taking his children away isn't punishment either, it is a necessity. The fundamentals of safe and healthy parenting are non-existent in that family. Its a necessity for the kids to be as far away from those parents. Those parents should be evaluated mentally to see if they are fit for the outside world. If not, they should be removed from society for the length of their lives. The children are unhealthy, uneducated, and clearly living in conditions not fit for a stable future. The parents should have never procreated.

They forced their children to lie to get into the public eye for fame. That is child abuse in every sense. Its not the nature of the crime, but rather the nature of their parental care. These kids will grow up disjointed from the rest of society because of behavior like this.

well I dont think jail is the way to go. Family counseling IF the state lets them keep the kids. Jail will not change the way they act in the household. It might curb them from public displays to get noticed, but thats not the fundamental problem. Their problem lies in social values, and they clearly lack them. This is detrimental to the childrens upbringing. I dont think these parents have the nature to help their children function outside the walls of their own home.

@yerallmorons i agree, their family/social values are not "ideal" and counselling could help. from what i hear about the sentence, when one parent is in jail, the other is out, so, i t may serve as a constant reminder of the mistakes they made. Hope they do get counselling/help to re-evaluate what their priorities are (family), if they go through this and dont change, they deserve whatever comes their way! No reason to not be realistically optimistic of what could/could not happen.
