That's not the original shrink-wrap. Those are modern dice, not the original ones. And the box does not have any of the TSR advert sheets for other products or the post-card subscription forms for Dragon magazine or the RPGA. So it's not a big deal that you opened it. It's in really good shape, but it's not as "original" as you think. Hope you didn't pay too much.
i still have all of my orignal D&D game books all the way up to the ones where you took your character to god levels . its a great game . i remember when you could go throu many encounters and combat was simple to run . the D&D of today takes a long time just to get throu one encounter . 3.5 was not to bad with a little bit of workbut D&D 4.0 i just dont like it . great video guys have fun playing .
Great video, guys. I love getting to see this awesome set unboxed - I came into D&D quite a while after this was released, so I never had one of my own!
lol i found a D&D original 1st edition when converting an attic for a customer , but i tryed to buy it and they wouldnt let me :( how much are they worth ????
This was the first D&D set I ever got :). Amazing you were able to find one in mint condition. Mine also came with the crappy dice with the crayon to fill in th enumbers :). Currently my books are beat up, and the box thrown out long ago :(.
@bludeborne i agree!! you gotta have the book, and the smell of the old books! BUT i do like to get the modules online pdf...because if you went back and bought EVERY module you would go broke!
I still have my game from early 80's and had to fill in the dice with a white crayon.
