Looks cool but the laser beam takes way too long time to reach the other ship, a laser beam is light, which travels at 300 000km/s so it would have been at the other ship instantly :)
So how sdid you make it so the lazer stays in a straight line using a prticle system? everytime I tried it I got nothing out of it accept what looks like a pretty stream of little energy balls rather then a lazer beam
You need an extreme high particle speed, and loads of particles. a trick to avoid the energy balls your seeing, is making the particles smaller, more of them, and give them bigger glows in video post.
@Xirtam86 ah cool but I've also had cases where somone is suppose to move in a certain direction while firing the laser,will it keep the laser straight?
Well to keep it straight its all about speed of the particles, if the distance is very large you may get problems and have to find a workaround. This method may not work in all scenario´s

Ye it would defitnally look good, lasers cutting holes and leave burned marks etc :)
