@GracefulAssassin2 Thanks :) A lot of the sound comes from the vast library of sound effects I've collected over the years. Some of it also comes from the music I make for the movies too. There are some sounds I will go out and record myself -- then mess around with them. Reverse them. Add other sounds or effects to make it sound a lot different.

First up brilliant film but why is is the title 'the siren' a siren is the anceint greek version of the mermaid (also makes an appearance in roman mythology) that makes their homes near rocky coastal cliffs. they use their voices to hypnotise saliors into jumping off their ship and therefore drown in the turbulent water... I just realised I know way more than I sould on this subject... anyway it should've been titled 'the banshee' or 'possession' or something

You are 100% correct about the mythology. I chose THE SIREN for these reasons alone. 1. It's stems from my 10 year old site called THE SIREN SONG. And it was all about men transforming into women. 2. A siren (sound) is also a loud/sometimes high pitched scream. 3. Sirens (mythology) lured men close to kill them. That was my logic. I didn't just want to call it The Banshee or Possession. Would have given too much away IMO.

Actually despite what you might think the banshee dosn't kill with bad breath. When it screams it emits a sound on a frequency that disrupts the neurotransmitters in the brain.

by the way awesome short my favorite that you've done by far aside from the addiction honestly i'd love to transform in either way this way would be cool because the transformation is controlled by a magic idol ala the doll and the addiction the transformation is controlled by a drug either way would work for me ;)

No. Not really. I've been doing music long before I made TF TG shorts or movies. Imaginarius is my band. I write most of the songs - and some even deal with TF TG themes.

Not sure. Have you been able to play movies at other locations? I will double check SecondLife tonight just in case, but the last time I was on... the movie theater on Imaginarius was working. But something could have happened since.

Well... any of these shorts can take 4-6 hours to shoot. But that doesn't include the weeks or months of pre-production work that is done to make the shoot go smooth. And that also doesn't include the weeks or months it takes in post-production (editing, sound effects, special effects, music). The new episodes will premiere either Aug 1st or Sept 1st. Depends on how the post-process goes - based on each director and their notes.

Nope. Different actors on ELEVEN, THE LAST PIECE STANDING, and THE KISS. Not to mention GAME OVER. When you make as many of these things as we do... it actually helps having some of the same people be in them. Kind of like a having your own set cast.

I like most transformations. I first got into animal TF's when I was a kid. Some of my animated shorts to have animal or monster TF's in them too. But lately... with the live action movies - we've focused more on gender TF's than anything else. Although... we just shot 3 new webisodes for our TFTU Series and they are not all gender TF's this time.

Many TF artists take commissions. They get paid for creating a piece of art in their style - but - the payee asks them to do something they specifically want. I would say the same thing. If you want me to do something you want (in my style)... and I'm not 100% on board... then you have to foot the bill.

Make a story or a movie? Those are two different ideas.

As for us making a movie... there is a lot that has to go into make one of our movies. And I'm always honest and up front with everyone - that even though people pitch me their ideas all the time - there is no guarantee we will make a movie from it.

I literally get hundreds of pitches a year. If someone were to finance (commission) us to make something they wanted that "might" be different - but usually no one does.

It's not that I don't like superheroes (I like Batman, Spiderman etc) - it's that the stories you often pitch to me have no transformation element to them. And this is a site that's dedicated to that. I'm also just a little burned out on superheroes with all the movies lately.

I'm sure that would be a TF Fanboys dream. We kind of already went down that road with ELEVEN, and had a pretty provocative shower scene in that movie. Also there's the problem with getting away with it on YouTube - where I've been warned in the past by them for showing too much in some of my animated movies.

Enjoyed it. 1 question though, how did you do the glowy hair effect? I think I would've dyed the hair a certain color (green for instance) and then done a green screen effect, but my knowledge of cinematography is rather limited. So how did you do that?

We've done green screen before on other shoots. We were limited on time and knew using a green screen on this shoot would have caused us to only be able to shoot 2 of the 3 shorts.

As for what we did... Lea wore a white wig and we shot every scene overlit. Then in post - I added filters to make it feel more like night. And then added a mask around Lea in each shot so I could later manipulate her by adding glowing effects and slowing down her movements.

Can't help ya with the hair problem. That was a creative choice I wanted to go with. Works for some. Doesn't for others. As for the reason why the dead would want Xander... Sometimes the simpliest answer (convienence) is the best one.

I really liked it, it was very creepy. I know y'all are limited by editing software and all, but it seemed a bit TOO blurry and TOO washed out, especially when the bansidhe showed up.

Just keep in mind that you're looking at a highly compressed mp4 that is compressed even further by YouTube. We shot these in HD. Although there was some intentional blurring done around the transformation... the shorts are in high def and look very clear when watched on an HD Screen.

Each transformation we make - we try something different.  The echo effect, blur and subtle tf effects were done on purpose to match the ghostly atmosphere of the story involved. Unlike the violent tf effects we used for THE ADDICTION - which also were done to fit more of the story we were trying to tell.

When we set out to make the series the two main things we told ourselves we wanted to do was make there was a TF theme in the story - and to make each webisode feel like a Twilight Zone like episode. The genre can be played around with. For instance - with these 3 webisodes... we went for "Sci-Fi" then "Fantasy" and then "Horror".

Well a lot depends on how long we want to keep going with this series. I can tell you we plan to shoot two more webisodes in June (cross our fingers as always). And even after that there are discussions taking place for a few more sometime after that. But I always take these things with a grain of salt. Sometimes the best intentions never get realized.

Well you have to consider we shot these 3 shorts in one weekend with a very very small budget. It's actually sometimes easier to turn these kind of things around faster when you have a cast and crew whom are all on the same page.
