he just wanted to get "good" (read his) music out there... it was just showing his daily grind... and how he was choosing the people that he felt would feel the music and how he made a connection (in the end) sort of a "hard work pays off" moment... it was actually well directed, I feel the song is WAY poppy for my tastes, but it goes with the video to me... the direction in youtube... but it actually makes sense...
