  • not the pilot, kelly and bud are way to old in this episode... back-up.....

  • I used to love this show, this song brings back so many memories

  • I remember watching this on TV in the late 80's early 90's, and how many times my jaw dropped, like.... 'they just said that on TV????' It was very shocking for its time.

  • best dysfunctional family ever

  • I Miss this show Nick @ Nite suprisingly shows this

  • Al Bundy reminds me of my Dad

  • Kelly was Hot n da 80's... But she mos def grew on me... She was da "IT" girl in da late 80's early 90's....

  • Family Truckster @ 0:12!!

  • 0:12

    Family truckster?

  • @Ishcoa I thought so too!

  • how come on netflix it doesnt have the guy singing ? it just does the background music which is a lil depressing without the guy singing

  • @jcl78901 I looked it up, the couldn't get the license to use it. It sucks without it...

  • @jcl78901 " The Guy " LOL that's just the legendary Frank Sinatra singing there...and obviously they don't have the right to use his music when streaming, a lot of tv episodes actually get different, mostly instrumental music because of copyrights and so......But it's funny the see Mr. Sinatra " The Voice " being thought of as " The Guy " ;)

  • I love this show i cant survive without it!

  • Chicago!

  • Little known fact: The opening freeway shots are from Vacation, the movie. You can see the Griswold's green station wagon at 0:12,

  • @vmfjru I think everyone knows that lol

  • im sad that Netflix cant use this in their streaming :(

  • @iFYMxDRKNSFALLS omg i know whats up with that?!

  • 1:05 lol

  • Actually... This isn't the original pilot opening because the "Love and Marriage" theme song wasn't introduced until season 8.

  • @RobbyRaiAshtray1122 it been the theme since right here the 2nd verse waan't introduced untl season 8

  • goood timesss XD

  • love this show so much!!!!

  • Best opening ever mother fucker.

  • my dad was a real life al bundy hed get drunk forget the kids and refused to do his wife ofcourse he lost costudy of me a short time later but too bad it wasnt a sitcom

  • How come sometimes they use a different theme song in Poland?!

  • @AdasiekkkTrzeci bo był problem z prawami autorskimi, więc w 1 i 2 sezonie jest Sinatra, a dalej dziwna melodyjka.

  • The freeway scene on this one is from national Lampoon's Vacation, a cost cutting effort I suppose. Look at the vehicle on the on-ramp....that's it, the Griswold's Family Truckster!

  • @wappco I noticed that too. Awhile back haha funny

  • This just takes me right back... to my life.

  • Wow this is classic.

  • I miss this opening.

  • later intros were better.

  • TERRIBLE!!!!

  • hahaha the clip from vacation at the begining..never understood why they took that lol

  • thats like the jetsons opener

  • One of the best show that was on Fox

  • My Wife And Me Are Just Like Al And Peggy Iam Al and My Wife Is Peg

  • You must be starving...

  • i was think u r peg and she is al..

  • I grew up watching this show, but I had no idea that they repainted the outside of the house in the first season.

  • Best show ever

  • anyone have the real pilot with different kids?

  • Copy and paste:

Married With Children - Unaired Pilot Part 1 of 3

Married With Children - Unaired Pilot Part 2 of 3

Married With Children - Unaired Pilot Part 3 of 3

  • Something I just noticed: They pulled a scene from 1983's Vacation. You can see the family truckster in the beginning there.

  • @kenslinks U mean chevy chase ? family vacation :D:D it is from there

  • I watched this show when I was really young, and I just realized that I don't know what the fountains significance is .

  • I think the fountains significance was the Man Toilet that Al made for his bathroom.

  • there is no significance they just wanted to show that the series takes place in chicago

  • I love the Bundy family!

    Peggy is my personal favorite...

OH AL! ~thanks for the upload.

    married with children forever! ♥

  • What is the name of the song?

  • Love and Marriage by Frank Sinatra

  • Check out my married for life video

  • Someone should make the end credits using stills from the Pilot episode

  • Christina Applegate was so sexy in the later seasons

  • i think christina was at her finest from seasons 1 thru season 7

  • Christina Applegate is sexy, PERIOD!

  • The house is SO ugly in the first seasons. It gets better.

  • Not bad for a pilot episode intro.

  • married with children is the best sitcom of all time.i love it

  • en realidad esa serie es muy graciOza yO la mirO todOz lOz dias .....!!!

  • So this is where it all began

  • @AnalogueAudio1985 That's true, some of the episodes I'm seen, the house looks way to fancy for a family of thier income, since the father is always complaining about not making enough money.

  • @AnalogueAudio1985 I just wish that they had made the character of Kelly smarter.

  • The Sims 2 Married... with Children

  • Dam People I remember watching this when it came out.. Now im Frek'n Al Bundy...

  • I think everyone one see's a little bit of the bundys in themselves/family, as much as they hate that fact. It's what makes this show even funnier.

  • love it :)

  • Dude I watch this on Spike but TBS they are bastards they cut the theme and goe straight to Saved by the Bell when the credits come on

  • Damn...and I thought ABC Family was bad...

  • not only that..they also cut some parts of the episodes

  • They also cut out some lines from the episode too..it was much better on FX..but I still watch it

  • You mean like sexually suggestive stuff?

  • on TBS..they cut out lines that have no reason to cut out..like in the episode "Spring Break (2)", they skipped the part where Kelly was suppose to sing her coronation and people booing her.

  • Maybe it was for time constraints...which really makes no sense...

  • They should just make the commercial breaks shorter

  • Um, that's never gonna happen. Syndicated versions of show are ALWAYS shorter than the original airings. The channel will trim the episodes so they can air more commercials (which makes them more money than airing an extra minute or two of the show).

  • I was about 5 when I first saw this show.

  • Hail Al Bundy. NO MA'AM!!!

  • How weird, just cast title cards over a blank screen. I guess they re-shot that "money dole" opening 3 times(?) over the years.

  • My dad loves that opening. He says that it's verry... proper.

  • I remember watching this when it came on Fox in prime time..ah the good ole days!

  • FOX may have had a lot of not so great shows over the years.... BUT the Simpson and Married with chidren are easily the best ever created...and among the best and funniest in general.

  • hey...at 0:14, its the family truckster!

    good movie - vacation

and good tv show - married w/ children

  • Yeah, I just noticed that!

  • Just found out that the scene with the traffic driving on the opening credits is from the movie "Vacation" and you can see the Family Truckster! This came out when I was 13 and my father was raising me and it helped. Maybe not for the best but it helped. Greatest T.V. show!

  • ha, ya i didnt read your post before I wrote mine. I knew that scene looked familiar

  • I finally noticed as well. Those aerial shots are good, tho.

  • Is it me or does the daughter look like a different actress?

  • what's the songs name ??? i love that it's funny

  • Frank sinatra - love and marriage

  • this is one of my fav. theme songs! the poor dog and Al treated Mrs. Darcy like crap! lol

    god this takes me back!

  • best opening eva!

  • This was the very first program on Fox's Sunday night schedule [AND their first prime-time series] at 7pm(et)- repeated at 8 and 9pm that evening- on April 5, 1987, paired with the first telecast of "THE TRACEY ULLMAN SHOW"....

  • wow, who else remembers on paramount comedy this used to come on around 8 o clock with 3rd rock from the sun, in pairs, every weekday night. man the memories..of course i was very young and only understood a little of the humour but i loved in. having got older i can appreciate all the humour in it. truely a great show.

  • i love the bundys i watch this show every day

  • wtf what channel?

  • FX Network

  • Watch the Pilot on TBS they use the regular Season One Theme Song

  • whoa this so brings me bk to wen i was like 8, my mum an dad used to put it on all the time! its never n any more! lol

    brilliant! al bundy wata legend!!!!

  • same here.

  • Yeah. Not sure how old you are now but this show came out when I was 8 and my parents had it on all the time as well. Such similar stories. It's on TBS and I think Spike TV now.

  • i remember this intro :))

  • i love this intro!

  • this is possibly one of my favorite opening credits ever :D

  • This is the original intro I remember...damn almost 21 years ago now.

  • Classic!
