@kokkinos7 , since no one answered your question pls let me butt right in. You are more concered with cfm not hp. CFM is cubic feet per minute. Whoever you buy your sprayer (or any other pneumatic tools from) can help you with those requirements. Best of luck,
PS: in your situation you might look at papercrete blocks.
Jeff- what fun! I have the very first ever application of Papercrete plaster on a scrap wallboard.
In 2002 I drove 7 hours to mortarsprayer with 5 buckets of papercrete, lime, and clay just to test in this sprayer? I was really excited to find a tool that took the arm labor out of applying a plaster.
Builder John Annesley created a backpack frame support system that 'hangs' the sprayer handle see it at wordpress blog online

@Hobohube Hi thanks for your comment. We are still working on the house. I am 32 years old and in fairly decent shape and doing all the labor myself with occasional help. Having said that we broke ground on the actual house on the 4th of July. Earthbag construction is even more labor intensive than I thought and we will be switching to rammed earth forms only using earthbags for roofs. I only reccomend it for small projects, unless you have a source of free labor.
@egoldsblog Hi, I enjoy watching your project. I have a question for you... when you say you will be going to "rammed earth" do you mean sun dried clay bricks? Or building forms with with wood then filling them in? Also if you don't mind what formula did you use for your papercrete? I'm 36 years old and newly partially disabled... I'm trying to figure out what is best at same time easist labor for my family of 3...wife, son, and myself. Your videos are very inspirational. Thanks for your time!
Very nice work !!!!
I m looking for an air compressor to spray mortar like you, occasionally.
Do you know how many hp do I need and how big must be the tank of the compressor? Thanx
