why the fuck are you comparing this. The L isfor chicago so maybe 5 cars are good, but new york you can have your subway, both fit the city's needs, both are great cities, and thats with my chicago bias.

Chicago's famous El does not even begin to compare to New York City's. Ours is much more extensive, older and more elaborate. What's more, our subways are 10 cars long.
Go fuck yourself. Seriously. Just because your the biggest city in North America doesn't mean you can swagger about bragging about how much better X thing is. Obviously its going to be better, the city is bigger!
Who said i was bragging about NYC being bigger and better? I was commenting on the bastad that said new york sux. So u need to get outta here and leave me alone.
The entire Green Line is elevated; the entire Brown Line is elevated (except between Racine and Kimball); and most of the Red Line north of the Loop. At least 30 or 40 miles worth I would think.
I can't speak for Chicago, but NYC still has a lot of elevated lines even though many lines were demolished. For instance, 40% of all of NYC's subways runs on el lines and if you take into account that the subway system in NYC is 229 miles long, that's a lot of El line!
I notice that you all don't have a guard rail on your elevated section. All New York City has this feature on their elevated sections. Is this line slated for a new upgrade soon? Qolspo(ny)
I always enjoy my CTA expierience. You nkow whats cool? I live in Skokie and I take the Yellow Line Skokie Swift down to Howard and usually get off somewhere from Chicago/State to Cermak-Chinatown. Tahnks for the back view
Those tracks look old they should consider getting some new ones on there.

How much of Chicago's elevated remains? I see that many cities have demolished most of them: Philly, Boston.
