"Three lines are necessary to form a plan figure; and three dimensions of length, breadth, and height, are necessary to form a solid." In the lyrics, Tommy sings, "only one shines above" and as a self-proclaimed Christian, he is referring to God, the Heavenly Father. So, maybe I'm wrong here but I think "Three Times In Love" is you need the third line (God) to make it complete. Listen to the words of 'Crystal Blue Persuasion', this is when Tommy was starting to embrace Christianity.
One of my favorite songs and a very well done video. I have this on a 45 but it is not in great shape having been played far too many times over the last 3o+ years.
Lovely song. I've always loved this tune and the video it isn't bad at all.Very professionally done. How is it that today's so called musicians and so called artist cannot produce good music of this caliber ? it's ALL CRAP these days,it's ALL recyclable garbage that will NOT (hopefully) be played any more.
@castertunes1967 Heh - I was in 8th Grade when this was a hit (I was one year ahead)... And I had this on both a K-Tel album and then later on on its own album...
I have great memories of this song while in my sr. year of HS at GBHS 1980.... Didn't know at the time how big an artist Tommy was, though I remember hearing the great DRAGGIN' THE LINE while a young boy...
Thank you so much for this very awesome song and video elitewowmacho69. Very nice video that fit to the song. At last i found this song through your posting. Five star for you sir.

A comeback hit for Tommy James in the early 80's, but man it sure sounds a lot like the Eagles.

Tommy James had many great songs and this is one of them. The video is
great and I'm sure involved many hours of
work. I'm glad to be the first to view this
on youtube. The song is beautiful. A+++
