@Andymannitro All depends on your taste buds.........People soak the fillets in milk over night or what ever they wish and then fry em' up with your favorite batter.....others just fry em' up like any other fillet.
Swivels have been straightened out, hooks, leaders bit in half and braided line busted like 2lb. mono hooked into a 35 inch pike in 10 degree weather. Heck The Pike are eating the 14 to 18 inchers you speak of faster than we could ever cull them out....they are there 24/7...they are the dominant predator.....not us!
It amazes me how people can respond like this without having ANY KNOWLEDGE of this lake.....Kinda like another Hunter who has NEVER stepped onto your property, but can tell you what deer you need to be harvesting.
Are any of your vids on public lakes? Not too far from Waterloo I caught 28 LMB in 2 hours on a public lake. They were 13 to 15 inches. I catch and eat but forgot my ruler that day so I let them all go.
Yes you should pick up some! Also try the Ribbit Frog or the Bull Ribbit Frog, another good product for sure. They also make a top water Scum Frog which the front of it is shaped like a Hula Popper.
lol, Thanks! We left ours in the back of the truck on this trip, we were in to big of a rush to get on the Lake, therefore we had to cut a piece of the anchor rope. Creating the Redneck Stringer!
Nice bass! Maybe I should get off my fat ass and get some... But deerslayer2545 and I made a Homemade beer for fresh bass swap... 5 pounds of fillets for 5 Gallons of homebrew red ale!..... ps.... don't kiss fish.... the old lady may smell ya breath and think you were cheating on ya!!!!... Danimalology™
Oh Contraire Miss Shuanavue! We have been fishing that hole for years. It was grossly overpopulated with Bass & the fish were unhealthy, pale colored & most had empty stomachs and parasites on them. We practice catch & release but do cull only a few each year. The results are the healthy fish you see in this video, as woodsman 101 comments on their beautiful color & I on how healthy they look. The Pike have benefited from this as well, as they are mostly feeding on 14" average Bass now.
A true woodsman would practice catch and release!

Yes it is, that's why you can see the big Pike lurking in the weeds, it's awesome!
It's also spring fed and pretty much surrounded by a Bog.
