  • A true woodsman would practice catch and release!

  • r they any good eating? how do ya cookem?

  • @Andymannitro All depends on your taste buds.........People soak the fillets in milk over night or what ever they wish and then fry em' up with your favorite batter.....others just fry em' up like any other fillet.

  • @NomadicDog thanks

  • come on guys.. let the smaller ones go! thats y u dont have many big ones on the lake cuz u guys keep all of those 14-18 inchers!

  • Swivels have been straightened out, hooks, leaders bit in half and braided line busted like 2lb. mono hooked into a 35 inch pike in 10 degree weather. Heck The Pike are eating the 14 to 18 inchers you speak of faster than we could ever cull them out....they are there 24/7...they are the dominant predator.....not us!

  • @NomadicDog i still think you should be lettin some go

  • We do..........And know Exactly what is in this lake.....So C&R is practiced....along with culling when the time calls for it!

  • what rod im gonna say shakespear ugly?

  • Yuup!

  • @NomadicDog coolio

  • what a hillbilly, i can see keeping the small bass, but why kill that big spawning female

  • It amazes me how people can respond like this without having ANY KNOWLEDGE of this lake.....Kinda like another Hunter who has NEVER stepped onto your property, but can tell you what deer you need to be harvesting.

  • Are any of your vids on public lakes? Not too far from Waterloo I caught 28 LMB in 2 hours on a public lake. They were 13 to 15 inches. I catch and eat but forgot my ruler that day so I let them all go.

Thinking of doing a vid on a public lake.

  • @monochromeify If you didn't eat everything you catch, maybe you would catch real fish!

  • @monochromeify All of them are except for Bass fishing 101 and The Bassassins

  • I do like the big rest area it's usefull

  • where at in michigan...?

i looks alot like a lake i go to in the UP.

  • Waterloo Rec Area.

  • Do you ever fish in Claire?

  • @davidhoozel Not in a long time.

  • No....The only stop in Clare is at the Big Ole' Rest Area!..lol

    Why should I..??!?

  • yeah what lake is this just love the fishing here in michigan but i need some new spots

  • @iDoWutiWant1 It's a private one, sorry!

  • Put those Bass back in that lake, Boy!!!!!!!!!

  • @bholling58 alot of them do get released.

  • WE COULD ONLY KEEP 5

  • @LAREDOSK8 My catch of the day is on there too.

  • Those are my Fish on the stringer too.

  • you must of had a great dinner

  • hi i was wondering what lake is this?

  • @MrJonnyboy989 It's a private lake near Stockbridge.

  • do you keep them?

  • Normally NO! But on this trip we were culling out a few as the Lake Guru requested us to do.

  • used these frogs today, i never liked them but i was fishing them wrong, now i love them.....

  • GREAT! Try the Ribbit brand frogs to, if you can find the Bull Ribbits pick em' up and use them also.

  • you should think about catch and release thats some 101 for you

  • You should read ALL the comments and replies! Like the one about us practicing catch and release, when I responded to shaunavue's comment.

That's some basic elementary stuff for YOU!

  • Lol i didnt see all comments mybad...why cull though just wait for a big one

  • ive used horny toads, but not the buzz frogs. looks like i should get me a bag or two!

  • Yes you should pick up some! Also try the Ribbit Frog or the Bull Ribbit Frog, another good product for sure. They also make a top water Scum Frog which the front of it is shaped like a Hula Popper.

  • great video but you should get a new stringer it will help u alot

  • lol, Thanks! We left ours in the back of the truck on this trip, we were in to big of a rush to get on the Lake, therefore we had to cut a piece of the anchor rope. Creating the Redneck Stringer!

  • what is that lake cause i love to bass fish and you should try a yomamoto hula grub

  • Sorry, No public access to this Lake. But I can say I have used the Gary Yomamoto Hula Grub and it works great in the cabbage!

  • diggin the redneck stringer

  • how is that redneck?

  • lol, You know it! Where's my Sign Award ?

  • Nice bass! Maybe I should get off my fat ass and get some... But deerslayer2545 and I made a Homemade beer for fresh bass swap... 5 pounds of fillets for 5 Gallons of homebrew red ale!..... ps.... don't kiss fish.... the old lady may smell ya breath and think you were cheating on ya!!!!... • that fishing hole will soon have no bass left in it

  • Oh Contraire Miss Shuanavue! We have been fishing that hole for years. It was grossly overpopulated with Bass & the fish were unhealthy, pale colored & most had empty stomachs and parasites on them. We practice catch & release but do cull only a few each year. The results are the healthy fish you see in this video, as woodsman 101 comments on their beautiful color & I on how healthy they look. The Pike have benefited from this as well, as they are mostly feeding on 14" average Bass now.

  • wow the water is so clear..... nice vid and some nice bass too 5*

  • Yes it is, that's why you can see the big Pike lurking in the weeds, it's awesome!

It's also spring fed and pretty much surrounded by a Bog.

  • Awesome!
