  • i worked for Cunard... and this ship was supposed to be a Holand America ship.

QM2 its a real ocean liner... Then Princess Cruises & P&O buys Cunard and takes over the management of QM2 because it was a disaster.... and then Carnival Corp buys Princess Cruises and P&O and of course Cunard...and now they build shitty ships in Italy , Venice and they are all clones.

  • Its dreadfully sad we still have this repulsive manipulative camilla whore around. One can well understand why the Queen and Royal Family regarded this filth as wholly unsuitable in the 1970s with camillas overtly promiscuous lifestyle its understood even the father of camillas own children is questionable! Unfortunately, inbred charles is not particularly intelligent and has allowed himself to be influenced by this malevolent parasite hopefully they will both come to an end very soon.

  • @margarethez and what have you brought to this world, that you warrant such harsh words about our future King of Englad? In days gone by, you would have been beheaded for such treason, may be we should bring it, back....

  • Everybody knows this disgusting cancerous old whore camilla was putting it about for years and clearly not too particular how many men or who with! She is a repulsively vile poisonous parasitic ugly old slut riddled with Syphilis and looks more like a man in cheap drag everyday - have you seen those BIG MAN HANDS! Hopefully the Queen will live at least as long as her mother and we will not have this filthy repulsive EVIL prostitute camilla and the parasite TAMPAX charles around for much longer!

  • @qemc This repulsive camilla whore was also virtually BANKRUPT following her Lloyds losses and CHARLES PAID HER DEBTS OUT OF TAXPAYERS MONEY OF COURSE. The sooner these disgusting immoral PARASITES are removed from the face of the earth the better hopefully just like charles uncle dickie with a nice big bang charles is not particularly intelligent and has allowed himself to be influenced by this malevolent parasitic slut. Hopefully they will both come to an end very soon!

  • @qemc This was of course totally ‘staged’ in a pathetic attempt to make the vile camilla whore appear more acceptable. One can well understand why the Queen regarded this filth as wholly unsuitable in the 1970s with camillas overtly promiscuous lifestyle – even the father of camilla’s own children is questionable! Its very well known camilla was always regarded as an ugly COMMON SLAG apparently from the age of 16 went with anyone available spreading sexual diseases and infestations everywhere!

  • The inquest into the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Al Fayed has lasted for six months, heard evidence from 250 witnesses and considered thousands of documents.

THE JURY RULED THEY WERE UNLAWFULLY KILLED!

  • Everybody knows this disgusting raddled old whore camilla was putting it about for years and clearly not too particular how many men or who with! She is a repulsively vile poisonous parasitic ugly old slut riddled with Syphilis and looks more like a man in cheap drag everyday - have you seen those big man hands! Hopefully the Queen will live at least as long as her mother and we will not have this filthy repulsive white trash camilla and the parasite "tampax charles around for much longer!

  • I agree, Princess Diana was MUCH better.

  • My word, americans cant pronounce anything correctly.

  • Or is that Alang India LOL

  • WTF Plastic Decks how long will that last, Which ButtF**K thought of that!!!! they should start again from scratch and sell Queen Victoria to Disney world kids love plastic take it apart and loose the small parts lol

  • Cunards ships are getting smaller and holding more passengers. It seems luxury is of unimportance and it makes me mad. I wish theyd make the QM2 a sister ship instead of this floating piece of shit!

  • Yes, they are holding more passengers, but they are in no way getting smaller. QV weighs in at 90000 tons, compared with 70000 for the QE2 and a paltry 25000 tons for the old Caronia (now Saga Ruby.)

Its a great shame the ship was built in Italy, though. Yes, I know John Brown is now history, but I still hate to see ships for British firms being built abroad. Sadly, cost dictates that Cunard now has to get the same off-the-shelf designs as the rest of the Carnival group.

  • Yes bit, St. Nazaire. They built the Queen Mary 2. They could build another like it instead of the cookie cutter ones, like he hundreds of ships that come out of the Queen Victorias shipyard looking exactly like it. Qm2 pretty much paid for itself after like 50 crossings, so it isnt like they couldnt afford another. Theyre just cheap and want to cut costs, building crap and scarring cunard. It really makes me mad.

  • yes it is a pity the uk government shut down most of UK SHIP BUILDING YARDS, BEST IN WORLD,, what for cheap labour in other parts of the world,,

  • Nothing british about these ships!!!

  • Let's face it folks, the era of beautiful, unique ocean liners is past, QM2 not withstanding. SOLAS regulations, the bottom line and number of passengers they can sell a berth to are unfortunately what count. When comparing modern day ships to the grand old ladies, you must realize you are comparing apples to oranges.

  • Here is an example of the current problem that has made Carnival's corporate philosphy a slowly developing achilles heel. Nobody could understand why the QV came out with plastic decks. it was perplexing that the "ocean liner" brand of Carnival would use such a cheap alternative that honestly did nothing for her looks. When Cunardival Pres. Carol marlow was questioned on this she said "It is enviromentally unfriendly and politically incorrect to use teak now". Which made me wonder...

  • what the hell are carnival's brands then? eco terrorists? this made no sense. A little research later it wasn't Carnival's enviromental concerns that made them use plastic, rather the ship's budget ran out of money. Instead of doing the project right, Carnival skimped to save a little money and it turns out, this was one of several major problems the ship has had. This constant "save a buck to make a buck" course of action has become so prevelant with them because they have grown so large.

  • Another ghastly floating Ramada Motel on a raft..nothing more.

  • i agree

  • hello, my name is shaun and i love what u made here, do u work for cunard line? and do u know much about there other ships of the past?

  • The biggest faus pax with the Victoria and is a reflection of Carnival's "gettin it done" on the cheap is the fact the Lido Buffet and the Todd English Restaurant share the same exact chairs. That should have never happened at all, a simple and low cost alternative would have been easy to find. Instead, Carnival bought in gross and spread these around. Inappropiate and should have never happened.

  • Hey.. chairs... sch-mairs!! I design stuff for a living, tough guy. Kids toys, widgets, flipper, and cruise ships. I'll design a cruise ship with chairs that spin your head off your shoulders... you'll wish you'd never been born! And just for your info Homeric 9, a faux pax is French for cheese danish with marmalade, and they don't serve those on the Queen Victoria. HAH!! Gotch'a!! See, you don't know what you're talkin' about cowboy.

  • dude..you are so annoying.

    grow up.

  • The chairs are actually quite famous and they have to be made of teak to match the decks!

  • Match the decks? where? Queen Victoria's budget ran out out of money and a cheaper alternative to teak had to be found. Carnival installed plastic planks stenciled to look like teak. Typical Carnival..if there is a cheaper way of getting it done they'll find it.

  • I believe that the Cunard should begin and create more imposingly ships. However the video is perfect

  • I think that Queen Victoria is a nice ship but i have to agree, nothing or practically nothing is hers. Cunard is known for being a great and luxurious cruise line, but i think they should also proove themselves by building a completely new kind of ship, inspired by her ancestors. Beautiful carved wood work and some costum made deco. Future ships should reflect what made Cunard Cruise Line such an excellent and glorious name. QM2 amazed everyone. They should have focused in that direction.

  • @minimoi00 yes they really need to bring back the hand carved wood work. Just like Titanic and its Grand Staircase and all her other luxurys. For sure though they need the big old wooden wheel back in the bridge not some gamer joy stick :P haha

  • What's unacceptable with Princess's vision for the QV is what they carried over, and left out. The main stairwell is an obvious adaptation from any of the Princess cruise vessels. The artwork i the main foyer is copied from the QM2. This would have been an opportunity to create a distinct feel for the QV with her own artwork. The Britannia is a carry over as is Todd English, right down to the linens. Very little is her own and what is here doesn't stand out at all.

  • I feel sad for Queen Victoria. I mean she was the first ship every built for Queen victoria. For Mary And Elizabeth. They Had 2 ships built for those queen. Left out by 2 lmao

  • Vista hull designs look great in Cunard colors. Exterior colorwise Vicky does have a certain appeal to her. However I am not a fan of the Vicky at all as a finished vessel. Way too much has been borrowed throughout Carnival to create this ship. Barely anything is original in her design. Another disappointing factor is how the grand foyers are carried over. Layout/construction wise this room on the Vicky is the same found on the Crown Princess, with barely different decor. Vicky exceeds boring.

  • I totally agree, the Vista Class hull is utterly bland and very unlike Cunard's opulent taste. Also, she should have taken the name of previous well known Cunard vessels, like the Mauretania, Lusitania, and Berengaria. Oh well, let's just hope in the future after the new QE is launched that they will go back to constructing vessels as wonderous as QE2 and QM2.

  • Sorry, just read my post above. Scrap that last vessel, the Beregaria. She was previously the SS Imperator and thus, not a true Cunard vessel. How about the Aquitania?

  • Cheap vessel... no good at crossing the oceans unlike QE2 and QM2.

  • I don't think that she should ever have been called a Queen. In the past, the name has only ever been used for Cunard flagships (which have always been ocean liners). Queen Victoria is neither a flagship or an ocean liner.

  • i must say we british people are lucky to have such beautiful ships!

  • But, look what happened to the RMS Titanic.

  • it hit an iceburg....96 years ago

  • lol

i hope this one sinks without hurting other people because its as ugly as a butt

    QM2 is more elegant. :D

  • its a ship. NERD

  • huh?

i never said it wasnt a ship

  • I totally agree Tomjune,a beautiful ship. Yanks have to pour scorn on her because they have no style or class, we have the real Queens, Mary, Victoria and Elizabeth they have a fake (Carnival) princess but with no history. Mmm wonder how many cruise ships built on the other side of the pond have sank.....

  • In the off chance you're serious do keep in mind technically Cunard does not exist as an entity. Carnival no longer trades in a company called Cunard, it is technicaly a brand. A marketed brand that has its day to day operation managed by Princess Cruises. Cunard as a brand does not have its own designers, all Cunard vessels are designed by Princess Cruises. Its hulls are recycled designs seen in other brands. It's President was with Princess and reports to the Princess CEO.

  • Hmmm..... Titanic, Olympic, Alaunia, Riverdance, Carinthia, Carpathia, and Queen Elizabeth. Not to mention english shipbuilders have gone out of business, Cunard was a canadain, the company is now owned by americans, and this ship was built in Italy. I think that ships like Qm2 and old ocean liners are fantastic, but all these modern things are disgraceful.

  • I think you mean "British shipbuilders", not "English shipbuilders".

Titanic & Olympic were made in Northern Ireland (and the shipyard that made them is still in business, although it hasn't built anything in a while) and most of Cunard's ships, including Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth 2 were built in Scotland at John Brown's (sadly long gone).

  • it owned by the british and americans that why it registers its ships in sounthampton england

  • I can say only one thing: She's wonderful!

  • like hell
