Segara's singing of this song is so-so, but Teona Dolnikova does it WAY better, I think. Segara's voice while good in its own right, has a much thinner quality to it than Teona's.
Everyone has an opinion, glad you shared yours. It's true Helene Segara's version isn't perfect, but everytime I think of this song I hear her voice. Maybe Teona's better singer, I don't know

Well, she's certainly different from Helene Segara; "better" would be a wrong word, I think. You can't really compare two people by one song, moreover, sung in different formats. You can't really improvise in a musical, it has to be a classical format of whatever the director thinks. Here she had more freedom to vary the pitch and intonation.
