@ddenns in the U.S. you are supposed to leave 15% or so because the waiter/waitress doesn't make that much money unfortunately so part of their income is the tip that they rely on. in other countries they do not expect a tip but are paid better.
@zyzor If tipping is "required" why won't you just include it in the price? US has some weird shit going on, like putting a price out and then adding tax to the product when you pay for it. Why would you not include this? It makes no sense at all!
Without knowing the total who knows whether it was a good tip or not. Though I assume $30 was pretty good. FYI for everyone who hasn't worked in the service industry. Standard is 20% unless you get crappy service. But considering they're both millionaires They ought to be generous since it doesn't really matter. lol

Yeah just fyi, anyone who hasn't worked in the service industry. 20% unless your service was crappy. I do wonder what their total was though. Take into account they're both millionaires though and there is no reason they can't leave an extremely generous tip.
Who the Fuck would give a $30 tip! How much did they paid for the Meal? Anything that isn't a single number is a decent tip regardless of the total cost of the meal in my book.
@MeSpawn297 No it's 10% which is a very reasonable amount if every Table over a day gave that there would probably be 1000s of dollars to divvy up between waiters
@Cashback13 Exactly, and servers only make like $5 an hour most places. That $10 makes a difference especially when you're splitting it between everyone.
@guguigugu No way. If someone gives me shitty service, then they don't deserve a tip. If someone goes above and beyond, then I want to reward them with a generous tip.
Costanza is the a-hole in the scene. He won't tell Larry how much he left as a tip; that's an a-hole, and then he gave an exorbitant tip, as if that makes up for him being an a-hole.
Cristos how much was that lunch!?!?!?!

Larry isn't wrong here. They are splitting the check. Not a big deal to coordinate the tip.
babyboy69881 1 week ago
i dont understand americans why do they feel the need to tip
junkhobokiller 2 weeks ago
@junkhobokiller Because waiters and waitresses make about three or four dollars an hour; they rely on tips.
ZenShroud1 1 week ago
@ZenShroud1 its not ur responsibility to pay them its the resturants.
junkhobokiller 1 week ago
i would never give a $20 tip unless the waitress was smokin hot and i left her my number in hopes of a handy afterwards.

i tip 10% if food was ok/good, 15 if it was better. Just like how my dad does that
and besides, waiters get at least 15% of the bat if huge parties eat where they work.
so they shouldn't complain. and neither should u wadr
