I never played Grandia until last year. I was weaned on Final Fantasy 7 and adore Nobuo Uematsu's music, but that soundtrack is child's play compared to this.
Now, I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy, but this game (which was out around the FF7-FF8 craze) is far superior. It told a simple story, as did any Final Fantasy.
Grandia is told so much more eloquently.
Pretty sure it was the first RPG to actually tell a properly-acted love story. All others before or after have only told parts of a love story, while this one laid out all the cards on the table.
I'm playing this game for the first time and just heard this song and had to hear it without the frog sounds and waves in the background. This song is a treat. I am in love.
It sounds of something used to cure a broken heart or destroyed soul. Amazing what a Violin and Piano can do together. You feel the music and thus become one with it. Perfect.
absolutely beautiful and stunning piece of music. they don't make soundtracks like this anymore.
