The title is The killing joke because that was the story that told us one joker's origin; that being said, this is an original idea for an adaptation that we came up with and I hope you liked it.

okay he used the title of the comic, honestly who cares the trailer is well done. it's almost a homage to alan moore's story of the joker. It's not like they called it "the long halloween" and this has NOTHING to do with that story. but this regardless is about the joker and the killing joke is about the joker.
It's incredibly well done, I must say.. but it's not the Killing Joke, lol. I think if you wanted to do an Alan Moore nod, then content is better than title (but that's just based on his reactions to all his other film adaptations.) Four stars

the point of joker changing his story about his scars in the movie is to give that mystery to the character. that was the whole point of no origin. if you give nolan's joker an origin i feel the character loses it's charm..it's pretty good though.
well, you're partially right... in the comic books the Joker has no origins because he is considered a sophisticated pathological liar.... the point of him changing his stories about the scars is because he tells so many lies that he doesnt even remember his own past... since he blieves everything he makes up. either way he will always be mysterious. But you also fail to realize that people have already made storylines about his origins.
