In my opinion, and this is probably just me, because I come from old school Counter-Strike you know. So running and shooting for me, is RUN MOFO! RUUUN, and then if you see an enemy, you stop quickly. you take 2 shots miss or hit, either way you take those shots and go for cover.
In my opinion that's pretty realistic, like if you watch some Army type training with weapons, they mostly do the same thing, or something alike right.

I hate how everyones crying over how much ressi has changed, get real! Yeah its changed alot, but its turned into a better game, the first 3 resident evils were far too easy. As for the fact that theres not much ammo, and you can't run or shoot, this is to add to the difficulty of the game, the creators of this game wanted t make you feel run down with limited supplies, how easy would it be if you could run away from the zombies while shooting. All the little cry babies should grow up!
Wait...I thought running and shooting was NEVER possible in RE games...It gives a very different feel to RE4 and RE5, a kind of strategy, desperation etc etc. If you don't like it play something else?
I really did not like this game. I found the gameply very confusing. There would be times where I pick up ammo and for some reson I could not equip the ammo. Movement was too slow. It was more frustration than fun.
the whole over the shoulder/not being able to walk and shoot thing does annoy me... seems kinda old... but the game is awesome, awesome monsters etc to fight and generally very good :D

the only difference in the demo and the real game is the fact that you only get your pistol on the "Public Assembly" level, and you get upgrades for the 1st chainsaw guy. Other than that, the only other difference is the placement of ammo and an herb where the control document was in the demo
I thought the demo was just ok nothing special. Now I have the full game have beaten it a couple times and love every moment with it! I ove the online co-op because it gives me and my friend who have played every RE game together a chance to continue to do so. Even better we don't have to hand off the controller we play together at the same time and help eachother out. I played the demo, and I thought it was pretty cool. The way I figure it, is if you like Resident Evil 4, then you will most likely enjoy playing this one. I bought the game yesterday. And you can change the sensitivity speed, but it doesn't get that much faster... and there are some darker levels. I've already beaten the game before I bought it. But the game has a lot of replay value, because if you want to get unlimited ammo for the weapons or collect the figurines.

Ive loved ever Resident evil but this one was way too short i think, resident evil 4 took me forever to beat and then i wanted to play it over again, number 5 i beat within 3 days and had no interest in playing it over again and im not a big gamer either. very disappointed.
I think if capcom did a major remake of the first Re game with the camera from RE4 and Re5 it would be a great success because it would be scary and the creepyness of running around the mansion would feel very clostrephobic and eerie.
If you ever played Devil May Cry 3 for the ps2, they had a special odject you can buy that gives you options to revive from a death that would otherwise restart you. That would be something cool to add to Re5. You buy something other the herbs to revive the other player when they are dead. After the point of dying. Ya know when you have to get the other player b4 they die. After their dead, all the zombies/crazy ppl chase you and leave the dead player alone until u revive them back into the game
Honestly, I thought the demo was pretty sick, kind of like heres a room, and a pistol. gogogo! But of course I felt "betrayed" when I played this demo and it was nothing like what we saw before, until my little brother walks in, picks the game up (having never played another resident evil) and falls in love. It made me think, you know he's going off nothing but what he sees there. In the end I think it was great and I have bought the actual game.
i think this game is absolutely amazing...people say you don't get the scared feeling but when you know theres a chainsaw guy coming at you and your low on bullets that pretty fucking scary lol...but i love it i'm on chapter 6 of my second go already haha excellent game

i'm one of the few that didn't like re4. horrible, stiff controls, no re feeling, horrible quicktime events, horrible map and puzzle design, horrible boss fights (except the water beast). only thing i liked with that game was the lab with the regenerators. re5 is to me just an re4 with better graphics and a story straying further away from what i call re. there is no reason not to be able to move and shoot, especially since they've programmed all the enemies around you moving like a cripple.
why change what isnt broken. re4 was an amazing game an you say stiff controls but what do oyou mean by that because chris moves the same as any other re character.
you also want a re feeling game yet you wanna take out a feature of the re series where you cant move and shoot it just adds tention to the player to shoot and move and adds to the survival factor.
P.S the game would be a cake walk if you could run and gun because most enimies get up and close to attack
no but in the old resident evil games, you had zombies. that was ok. the dogs were a bit annoying since you couldn't block them, but zombies moved slow, so the controls were acceptable. now you have this poor ass idea of las plaga (which doesn't fit into the RE story at all imo) and they are running. so now they're fast all of a sudden, so why not make the main character fast? no, he's still grounded with concrete feet, so out of laziness they made the attackers stop before attacking. stupid.

Basically, it's RE 4.5, but still worthy of being purchased. Not much any longer on the lines of survival/horror, but along the lines of a TPS.
Just try not to expect a run/shoot ability, or anything really SCARY in the game. It's still very fun and worthy of being purchased, just severely lacking an RE vibe to it.
RE5 is f***ed up man! I loved Resident Evil... But now they destroyed it! It was a great survival horror game, and it was really scary but now it's just a senceless splatter game! And you can change the sensitivity speed, but it doesn't get that much faster... and there are some darker levels. I've already beaten the game before I bought it. But the game has a lot of replay value, because if you want to get unlimited ammo for the weapons or collect the figurines.

Ive loved ever Resident evil but this one was way too short i think, resident evil 4 took me forever to beat and then i wanted to play it over again, number 5 i beat within 3 days and had no interest in playing it over again and im not a big gamer either. very disappointed.

I think if capcom did a major remake of the first Re game with the camera from RE4 and Re5 it would be a great success because it would be scary and the creepyness of running around the mansion would feel very clostrephobic and eerie.

If you ever played Devil May Cry 3 for the ps2, they had a special odject you can buy that gives you options to revive from a death that would otherwise restart you. That would be something cool to add to Re5. You buy something other the herbs to revive the other player when they are dead. After the point of dying. Ya know when you have to get the other player b4 they die. After their dead, all the zombies/crazy ppl chase you and leave the dead player alone until u revive them back into the game

Honestly, I thought the demo was pretty sick, kind of like heres a room, and a pistol. gogogo! But of course I felt "betrayed" when I played this demo and it was nothing like what we saw before, until my little brother walks in, picks the game up (having never played another resident evil) and falls in love. It made me think, you know he's going off nothing but what he sees there. In the end I think it was great and I have bought the actual game.

i'm one of the few that didn't like re4. horrible, stiff controls, no re feeling, horrible quicktime events, horrible map and puzzle design, horrible boss fights (except the water beast). only thing i liked with that game was the lab with the regenerators. re5 is to me just an re4 with better graphics and a story straying further away from what i call re. there is no reason not to be able to move and shoot, especially since they've programmed all the enemies around you moving like a cripple.

why change what isnt broken. re4 was an amazing game an you say stiff controls but what do oyou mean by that because chris moves the same as any other re character.
you also want a re feeling game yet you wanna take out a feature of the re series where you cant move and shoot it just adds tention to the player to shoot and move and adds to the survival factor.
P.S the game would be a cake walk if you could run and gun because most enimies get up and close to attack

no but in the old resident evil games, you had zombies. that was ok. the dogs were a bit annoying since you couldn't block them, but zombies moved slow, so the controls were acceptable. now you have this poor ass idea of las plaga (which doesn't fit into the RE story at all imo) and they are running. so now they're fast all of a sudden, so why not make the main character fast? no, he's still grounded with concrete feet, so out of laziness they made the attackers stop before attacking. stupid.

Basically, it's RE 4.5, but still worthy of being purchased. Not much any longer on the lines of survival/horror, but along the lines of a TPS.
Just try not to expect a run/shoot ability, or anything really SCARY in the game. It's still very fun and worthy of being purchased, just severely lacking an RE vibe to it.

RE5 is f***ed up man! I loved Resident Evil... But now they destroyed it! It was a great survival horror game, and it was really scary but now it's just a senceless splatter game! The demo bored me, just killing... and killing.... and killing... this sucks! No real zombies, unscary monsters, always sunny... damn! I want the old horror back and not some silly third person shooter!

That's actually not true. In "RE: OUTBREAK", you infact COULD run and shoot at the same time. And it was the ONLY RE game to ever feature this ability. But since the game was highly critisized by most reviewers, most RE fans skipped the Outbreak series. And thus, never knew this fact.
But fact is, in RE-Outbreak, you COULD run and shoot at the same time.

Just think of this. How would you fit another control in the control scheme to fit a run and pull out your weapon? That's why you can't really do that. I don't care about this run and shoot shit.
