  • hello my male bristle nose his got a red belly what does that means help me?!!!!

  • is this a coconut that hes in and the fry , what cave do u found they like the best

  • @sk8erboy1231

Yes it is a coconut. The best caves for them are pottery tubes with one end closed and with a diameter that the male just fits in.

  • u dont want snails i ur with ur cat fish well it ur choice the bristlenoses like eating the alge

  • @sk8erboy1231

Well, i don't get what you wanna say this time. :S

Snails are nothing bad, they free the tank from sunken food, and by the way they prevent the water from rotting.

  • Yeah, right. The tank is also full of Sri Lanka dwarfshrimp

  • I meant at.

  • I got lots of bristle nose fry to :D my biggest atm is aboout 1 in' :)

  • Hi, the big ones in this tank are about 1.6 inches.

  • Yes, it's a special breeding tank. What's bad about the snails? I think, snails are a great addition for the ecosystem, the same applies to shrimp.

  • In my spare tanks I put in 6 pondsnails and they bred like hell, just like hell and I have to give some away

  • Snail are good they eat algae.

they also keep the tank clean.

But for me in 7 years of fish keeping

I found them as a parasite because of

    1.They breed like mad.

    2.They eat aquarium plants .

    3. they don;t bother about eating veg.tablets or algae wafers.

4.Some times crawls they out of my tank, that's very annoying.

  • 1. I share snails with my friends, and in my big tank, they are also an nice addition to the normal diet.

    2. I only got snails that don't eat plants, like "Planorbarius corneus" called great ramshorn or "Melanoides tuberculatus" red-rimmed melania.

    3. Mine freakin love that. I can put veg tablet in a cup underwater, the next day, i got plenty of snails in it (also the easiest way to catch them)

    4. Yes, that can happen, but all of my tanks got a tight cover.

  • You are keeping great ramshorn.

Which are easy to keep and like algae a lot.

Mine are wild green pondsnails and they eat plants rather than algae.

My tanks are like takashi amanos,no braces or hoods.

I had to feed them lemna minor(mirror duckweed) and lemon leaves that turned yellow

  • There are problematic snails that's right. That's why i also don't keep apple snails (Ampullariidae). I've seen some of them killing a sleeping fish at night.

  • hey dude uer website u think u can make another version in english too becuase uer sight looks good

  • I'm planing to translate it and launch the page in englisch, too. But it's much work to translate it (and my job took alot of time the last weeks).

    Does the google-translator work?

  • never tryed it i well later never thoght of that

  • Blah. too bad my ancistruses male died.

  • :( That's sad.

  • he was one big sexmachine i tell you.

almost every 2 weeks he had fry.

  • At least, it's live wasn't senseless.

  • Cool Video and how many did they have

  • They are a very young couple. The first breed was a number of about 10 or 12. I didn't count the later born frys, but i think it's still around that number.

  • YAYAA now i see why u deleted the comment(if u did) :) thanks for cool video
