That may be the case... but Temari is a little older than the rest of the genin (the age difference is only like two years, but the difference between the ages of the older x-men aren't that big either [I think] - Tenten is used for Jean and all...) and Temari's personality and powers works better than Kurenai's. (just my opinion)

There are actually some similarites between Naruto and X-Men. I mean, both are trained at a school were they learn to control their superpowers (chakra/x-gene). Most of them have different powers and their enemies has different powers as well. And not to forget both comics are about being an outcast who want's to be accepted (Naruto is an outcast, X-Men are outcasts). Note: I love both series and I'm not calling Naruto a ripoff, just noting the similarities.

Deidara is a guy and he was at the end of the episode that Sasuke and Naruto finished fighting... the One were Zetsu was first introduced... Or around that area anyway. He was the shadowy figure that was upside down and added a "Yeah" after each sentence.
