The show itself was a dismissal, amateurish hot mess. What was Peter Asher thinking? The idea was good only on paper. And, trotting out the grieving widow was way too much.

Fantastic post! Phil Everly was sitting in the front row, at the table with Maria Elena. He and Paul Anka were the only performers from the show who actually were acquainted with Buddy Holly. Phil and Don Everly had toured with him, and Paul Anka wrote a song for him. Thanks so much for the upload!
