Iv done this before in a Hudson 8, tore off bow 3 riggers. don't mock the cox cos it's a much harder thing than u think and getting shit from others fucking sucks in shit like this.
Not saying the coxswain's not an idiot, but we had one where my crew apparently almost (Almost, but didn't) hit a pole during practice b/c just the way the boat was angled the coxswain was too little to see over all the rowers and literally could NOT see the pole. Though they did hear the people yelling at them to stop rowing...But I'll bet that cox has eight very angry rowers...esp. the ports and the guy in the water.
@iStyleZ415 I don't think you understand how this works. Go stand on one side of your house. Can you see someone standing on the other side? No. Same principle at work here.
@Furball911 Probably fine, as long as it was only oars that made contact. If any of the riggers caught, it means almost immediately making the shell useless until it gets some major repairs. The entire carbon body will be misshapen, any ribs in the area will be snapped, the deck would be crunched away from the side, wrecked backstay, mounting points ripped from the body, or the bolts just ripped through it, etc. Saw this when one of our girls teams boats hit a weather buoy on our lake...
@Acoontey haha,l they are pretty much ghosts greatest moments. I do prefer the US Army Ranger missions though. The ones in washington and then the EMP. That was epic.
