  • hi Tanisha, today i tried your black forest cake recipe, and unfortunately it didnt turn out really good, although i followed the entire recipe, the cake was really hard and dry,can u tell me why?

  • Hi what brand of cocoa powder u used here?thanks

  • hi erm i would like to ask you what whip cream did you use? isit the one that comes in the can?? or the double cream

    thank you

  • @123hijab123 whip cream i use normally comes in a milk-carton, it s 30% MF (milk fat) cream i buy from the milk section in my grocery store

  • @TanishaCookz thank you

  • @123hijab123 ps. since you're from UK ...i guess it would be called Double Cream? or Heavy Cream?..and it would be 35% MF i think

  • @TanishaCookz yes i think its double cream. thank you

  • i tried that from this cookbook. It Failed SOOO BADDD!!!

  • epic

  • this cake was made right on my birthday :D

  • my cakes rise up alot at the middle but not at the sides, why

  • @Coolshanny spread the batter from the center to the sides. This should help create a smooth top instead of a dome

  • @Coolshanny That can also happen if the heat in your oven is concentrated in one area.. say if the heat is originating only from the top of the oven or at the bottom. I had the same problem .. so i got an oven that had heat originating from both top AND bottom.. Also when you get an oven like that.. make sure to place it closer to the bottom heater.. so as to not burn the top of the cake ... =D

  • @nishatrevor yes! i only have the heating at the top of the oven, any ideas how to solve this problem? don't really want to buy another oven D:

  • Thats a LOT of whipped cream!!!!! =O

  • That's a lot of cream!

  • ..the cake was NOT a lie!! :D

  • uh oh some body cut the cake i told them to wait for you but they cut it any way there is more left if you hurry back

  • hi ! the heavy cream is from what??it can use any milk ??or ??

  • can u get vanilla in korea? i cant find it anywhere and i seriously love baking . i mite not be an adult but srsly? who cares

  • hey i'm just wondering, is this cake vegetarian? :)

  • @FlyNdope well i suppose its vegetarian...but not 'vegan'. It does contain egg and milk products

  • And it looks just like the cake from Portal - made to perfection - only it's not a lie! :D

  • DON'T DROP THE CAKE!

  • must...not...make...portal joke!

  • @Acemega234 go ahead lol

  • and the logic core wasnt even needed

  • @Arzaker i'm guessing...Portal?

  • @TanishaCookz

yeah i guess it was kinda obvious with the amount of references

    sorry

  • wow 3 layers and its that thin your a pro lol

  • hey may i know the list of equipment needed to bake this cake? thanks!

  • Sorry self raising flour. :-)

  • Hey tanisha,

Liked your cakes but can you please tell me what is alternative for cake flour? I mean what quantity of plain or self raining flour with salt and baking powder should I use to get a right balance? :-)

  • @pkarmacharya2002 you can use plain all-purpose flour. For substitution: Take one cup flour and add 1/8 cup of cornstarch.

Sift it really well together and it should do the job :D

  • U Did A Very Good Job Imma Try 1 Tomorrow N See Wats Looks Like :D

  • How Many Mins did it take to do all the cake

  • @riva2987 She has done a good job.

  • @BaritoneLondon once again i used a bigger pan. Also i couldn't be as quick as i could be due to interruptions during shooting.

  • Just an observation: You should get a cake base board. I wonder if you going to serve the cake with it on the base of your baking tin? Thanks for the video! I learn something new ! How to make my own chocolate shaving.. Thanks!!

  • @Fifirella at that moment i didnt have a cake board :)

  • Love black forest cake.. yum.... but why is it called black forest? I get the black part... not so much of forest part...

  • @blindrenderer well if you look at the cake, does it not look like a snow covered forest? And the red cherries are air traffic warning lights :)

  • It's called black forest because it is the popular cake from the black forest area of Germany

  • @hninny thanks :)

  • @blindrenderer the recipe for the cake originates from the Black Forest region of Germany.
