  • Man,great to see this. They were in New Haven at least once a month along with The Good Rats Twisted Sister, and David JoHansen, after the New Your Dolls broke up.

  • is this 1 of their originals?

  • no it's a cover of a jack bruce song. i always thought they did it better

  • Thanks for this blast from the past! The good old days of traveling all over NY-NJ-CT to be part of the Rat Race! Hey Dave - remember the capezio girl??? Post more!

  • The Capezio girl was a friend of mine...haven't seen her in almost 25 years, but we e-mail a lot. Runing all over NY and NJ Rat Racing was the most fun I had from 1976 to the mid 80s

  • T3chn0d1va is the Capezio girl! What do you mean you e-mail me all the time? I haven't spoken to you since IM on aol. Maybe we can catch up one of these days. These RRC videos are the best. Those were some great times for sure!!!

  • Hey! T3chn0d1va is the Capezio girl. I have not heard from you in years. I miss the RRC daze...get in touch.

  • Oh my God...this was such a great find. DEFINATELY one of my favorites. Just listen to Dave's voice no wonder I thought I was in love all those years. Thanks for bringing back the awesome memories. I truly appreciate this.

  • Hey SFALLOY, do you know what Jimmy Merrins is up to, or even where he is? I haven't seen him in years! Last I heard, he was in Florida.

I just saw Mark and Steve backing up Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams of AC/DC, as well as Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow/Deep Purple. They were SMOKIN'! (AS USUAL)

  • No on Jim M

  • Hey NY LAW DOG, Did you know Jimmy Merrins?

  • Hey NyLawDog, got anymore of these ol' greats??

  • No one did "Jack Bruce" like Rat Race Choir. (Anyone remember "Something to live for"?)

This song has such intense melancoly (emphasis on the paradox, making this an incredible music moment), esp. with such words:

"O the grass is burned black

By the ships coming back from the stars, golden stars

    Sea turned to steam

When we boiled the dream of tomorrow, tomorrow"

    Just incredible... !!

  • something to live for was originally a hollies song till jack got a hold of it.

  • Incredible song, one of my fav by RRC!

  • it was a jack bruce song.
