I haven't played this game yet. I'm more into GTA and NFS or Mafia but I'll give it a try. By the way if I play it on my laptop Asus Intel Core duo 3gb ram geforce g102m cuda with 512 mb video do you think it will work just fine?

102m is based on 9400m chip so games like COD 4,5,6 L4D 1,2 will work great, also Grid, but for more demanding games you ll have to play on low settings. Blur? You can play blur even at 20-25 FPS...it's still smooth, unlike other games where you need 60 FPS. I guarantee you that-tested on 9500GT&Athlon 3000+

Enough RAM and c2d is good, vga is your bottleneck, but it should play games just fine.

No, you can't customize cars. Only the POWER can be chosen, nothing else unfortunately.
