@Hellsconsort I looked at the list of countries by GDP per capita and if I'm not mistaken number 33 on the list - the Bahamas - looks like it is. Jamaica is 88th whereas S. Africa is 71st. Hope that somewhat answers your question. I know GDP is not the be all and end all of progress but it was the easiest factor to look up.

Give you all the benefits of a 1st world country , then after years nad years the Masses want to TAKE it all.. is it really yours to take. It belongs to all White , Coloreds, Indian , black... We as black people have to understand that we are the architects of our own demise. We have to acknowledge that things like apartheid and slavery would not have happened had it not been for our own people supporting, participating and benefiting from them. We will continue to be the architects of our own demise if we continue to support corrupt individuals and policies just because they hate the white man.White's should be the least of our worries. Poverty, education, and progress should be #1.

After 15 years of building schools, helping orphans, aids babies, disadvantaged kids and much more I get so angry when the politicians undo all my hard work. There are MANY great Safricans here (black, white, coloured, indian, you name it) who I have the honour and privilege of knowing and working with. We will prevail!

While I also support destroying the enemy within, they just tip the iceberg. Black People don't own any collateral in South Africa like the gold, diamonds or oil so how can they have any real power in the country. You only have to look at america to realise that political power is worthless without substantial wealth.

There will be no peace in this world as long as we all follow the illusion of money, Money buys power and Money corrupts power, the truth is most black people I know want power and Money and not much else, it's sad but it's true.
The problem is the rich white people make the money so the black people will maybe get rich but will never be wealthy, the same goes for poor white people.
We may not like it but this world is ruled by rich white elites and the game has been playing a long long time.

Unfortunately this goes on to some degree in every country. All governments have some degree of corruption and when you think about it all governments are a rule by force. If you get arrested that is force and that is rule. What a citizen can get arrested for is subjective to how fair the government is. Most governments are a rule by force with financial backing - it doesn't matter what the people want but what the financiers decide. Corruption always has a financier.

The politicians here in the US are just as bad. Julius Malema sounds like a less polite Michele Bachmann. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has nothing against white people (who would?) but is instead just playing up all this race crap to garner support from the people he is robbing. What about the black middle and upper class? Aren't they getting tired of corruption and such?

You really can't compare Africa's problems to the rest of the world's. Sure there are corrupt politicians, but other countries have a standard (East Asians have possibly the highest standard with Japan's Prime Ministers rarely finishing terms).
Where other countries are accountable and skeptical, Africans blindly support these corrupt leaders, defend them, elect them and rarely have the infrastructure to have them held accountable and it's a large reason why their countries remain poor.
