  • If only I were a nerd in the 70s. Then I'd have chance to meeting sans dying.

  • I fucking LOVE this dude! HAHAHA

  • If you're going to use my audio clip then please attribute me as I own the copyright to this recording. It's licensed under Creative Commons 3.0. Just sayin'.

  • It's wonderful to hear them both together and I agree with them. "City" is the best and "Tribbles" is the most popular.

  • i dont get it.....this is a totally different person from that 60s interview where he's so cool and idealistic.

  • @posthumanhero ...cool idealism died following Vietnam, Watergate, Iran-Contra and the Reagan era. I will say that the rip off of Terminator from Ellison (Demon with a Glass Hand/Soldier) was one of the worst things to ever occur to a person.

  • Harlan's a asshole, but i still like him.

  • @McPfoot ...life's lost opportunities (StarLost) and (Terminator franchise) have embittered him...and I dont blame him , one bit. Society failed him, as they thought less and stopped expression...

  • fuck you rick berman

  • He's an awful grasping tool.

  • Funny but true (about the young generation)...!

  • Harlan's pretty cool. However, that kind of....exhuberance....obviously takes a physical (if not emotional) toll. As many folk think I'm an asshole for I think many of the same reason they think Harlan's an asshole, I suggest I have a thing or two on him.

  • "A boy and his dog" is one of the best stories ever, and is prophetic in the near future.

Read the book or watch the movie and see the future.

  • Why can't you write a decent novel, Harlan? You're forever kvetching, But all you can do is write short stories. Stop bitching and get to work for christ's sake!

  • @RotoPlasmX Spoken by a successful novelist, no doubt.

  • Crazy Jew writer, but a funny guy!

  • GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I haved greatly admired him since 1977. That year I went from a very small town to a very large university and Harlan Ellison was part of the English prof's bibliography in my frosh lit class. My last name was Harlan so I said what the hell and have been a fan of his since.

  • @bharlan1959 Lucky, i'll never get to so much as be in contact with this man but I admrie him and feel such a deep connection.

  • Harlan rocks! And he's right.

  • You can always, always depend upon Harlan Ellison for an entertaining interview. Ha!

  • Harlan in person is a train moving very fast. These younger types don't understand what to ask him, and don't understand his replies and references. When he insults them quickly, they barely know what to say next.

There are rock stars older than him, so he's not OLD old in any sense. The current generation totally idolizes these pre-fab, ghetto street characters, but Harlan is the real thing. They should idolize him too.

  • "Current generation of imbeciles and morons" "She knows Kfed and where her vagina is" So true and so funny.

  • Gotta love Harlan. So few people can combine being hip with being a technophobic old codger, yet he does it with such panache that you can't help but admire him. That is, if you didn't already admire him for his writing (which you SHOULD).

  • @crazyraven1

He can combine " Angry sounding obstreperously old codger " w / " funny elfin guy who says things that make you chortle " ( Or laugh until you s**t yourself !! ) very successfully. Long live HE !

  • Three minutes with Unca Harlan is worth a hundred hours of cinema. God bless! (hmm. Maybe not)

  • @eveningtsar - Amen, eveningstar !!
