@jwflammer Well this effect doesn't do PWM so it could be done with several options. I would do it with at least 32 shift registers (1/8th duty cycle which is the least that I still like) but you could also do it with 64, 128, or even 256 registers. The more you had the brighter it would be but the more wiring and power you would need. I dont think speed would be a problem even with that many registers if you weren't using PWM but I can't swear to that
