sounds like the camera's clipping plane. couple ways to set or adjust this. ALT + L which is "Look At" should set the Clipping planes automatically. to manually set them there is a tool in the palatte but i prefer to use the editor WINDOWS > EDITORS > CAMERA. make sure the persp camera is the current camera in the editor(pull down at the top) and look in the "digital properties" > "Clipping Near/Far".
