i can do that with aegis in my inventory .. and kill my self in the enemy's fountain .. but i can only do it on my own hero .. :D

after the game ends, usually your units cant move, but if u have an aegis or some other items (not sure of all the ones that work) yuur hero can move while others cant, so you can gangbang fountain and shit

also, if u drop ur item in this status, it looks like a book instead of a treasure chest, boring

Everythign is switched off after you kill the throne, so the fountain can't hurt you.

I think I know why. Because of when the game ends, the status of heroes and units remain constant. Because Plague was inflicted after the game ended, there was a little loophole, it constantly stated the plague effect thus multiplying the amplification damage.
