Ya it was its A-ma-te-rasu or something like that its hard to describe with out actually saying it to you...

OH! Actually, that was the proper pronunciation.
It's Amateratsu. The 'tsu' at the gives it a 'tuh' sound just before the su, and the u is pronounced as it comes after a ts.
I'm quite the fan of Okami as well ;)
