  • that's why i don't understand the hate of mgrising, since the day i saw gray fox i want to play as him, and he the first cyborg ever had all that strength, its comprehensive that raiden has the strength of that trailer

  • Ps1 better because of the background music

  • epic just epic, bye ....fox

  • WOW the Graphig...

  • METAL GEAR SOLID PSX IS BETTER

  • Comment removed

  • During Fox's speech after he is pinned against the wall, it sounded WAY more better in the original, the echo effect, along with the music.

  • @SamND967 No...just no...never ever say the new game is better than the original... thats just asking for a bitch slap.

  • @scotty2707 Dude, I said in the ORIGNAL! =P You know? The PS1 version? PS1 > GC version.

  • @SamND967 wow this is embarrassing, my apologies to you mate. I should have read it properly first :( eitherway good man! Original FTW!

  • @SamND967 not

  • Gray fox and raiden are two different people and miller is liquid

  • 2 things: is grey fox raiden or related to raiden in any way? is that Miller controlling Metal Gear Rex?

  • Comment removed

  • @x1FPR1x No this is Liquid

  • .....did snake get saved by spiderman???

  • Anyone else notice that Fox has an arm cannon like Samus?

  • is this game rare to find? cuz' i was looking gamefaqs board (metal gear solid the twin snakes) and all the people says is very rare and hard to find.. sooo is true?

  • @goldensun003 no, that is NOT true. i found the game at gamestop.

  • why dint u shoot?

  • Kojima Productions has talked about wanting to remake it again. And apparently they are started doing motion capture for another MGS game. It can't be Rising, that's probably done already since it's coming out next year. Notice how MGS1 is not part of the HD collection?

  • When did Kojima Productions said anything about that ?

  • @filipeflower It was a few months ago. It was a article put on The Snake Soup, probably the biggest MGS website. Type "kojima productions wants to remake metal gear solid" into google and it's your first return. I really hope this to be true since TTS was a bad remake. Poor acting, bad music and over the top cutscenes. And honestly, I'm so SICK of playing as Big Boss. But it looks like their MAY be a sequel to Peace Walker coming out.

  • What ? Another sequel ? Don't these guys have enough already ?

  • -Snake picks up the sword-

Snake: I will defeat you with this!!!

    Me: Cooooool

Snake: No wait that's stupid. -Stabs into ground- I'm just gonna run at you completely unarmed WEEEEE!!!!

Me: OHHHH because that's a much better idea.....idiot.

  • I hate how they changed Grey Fox's voice in Twin Snakes.

  • @MGSKakashi Why's that? It's better imo.

  • I really need to play this game again.

I think I'm gonna play it in Japanese to make it a real new whole experience.

  • When the fuck did Gray Fox get that awesome costume? What do I have to do to get him to wear it??

  • @dobadobadooo Beat the game 2 or three times.

  • @dobadobadooo he looks like spiderman in this! lol

  • @dobadobadooo You actually have to survive Ocelot's torture. When Meryl gives you the bandana, it changes Snake's and Fox's costumes.

  • cool...Grayfox is strong!

  • It kind of never really dawned on me until now that he just fucking crushed him into a paste on the floor. That's gross.

  • who thinks there making a stand alone version of this game for xbox360 and ps3 with mgs4 graphics and engine with the same dialog and cutscenes as the original or gamecube versions tumbs up if you agree and think they should if there not

  • I kind of agree with you, solidsnaker1992, but there's a lot to be sad about that .

  • @filipeflower yea i know but it would still be awesome if they did i know it would sell easy

  • @solidsnaker1992

They are doing a HD remake of Sons of Liberty, Snake Eater and Peace Walker for PS3, not sure about the 1st one or about it being on xbox.

  • @solidsnaker1992 with the mgs4 engine, it wont be able to play on the xbox, or atleast have all the features the ps3 version has because of not enough space :)

  • Fox:*splat*

Liquid:eww *scraps the bottom of the Rex foot on the floor*

  • the only guy that doesn't like this video can suck my balls

  • Psx version was waaaaay better

  • hehe

    he sayd deep throat :D

  • What happends when you shoot the Stinger?

  • @xXSHEFTXx666 If you try, you hear Snake say "It's no good, I can't do it!"

  • The PS1 background music was waaaaay better in this scene.

  • lol Mr. Deep Throat

  • Hmmm the orignal grey fox voice is much better, though this one is pretty cool.

  • I like the original fox...

  • I liked it when gray fox sounded like a middleaged black man

  • Looking back, they made Liquid sound like the perfect stereotypical British villain. Heh.

  • ADAM IS SPIDER MAN!!!! and samus...

  • Why do you call him ADAM? He's not Ocelot, you know.

  • @filipeflower Srry, I've got confused, he is Frank Jaeger or Gray fox

  • Exactly. Gray Fox is his codename and Frank Jaeger is his real name.

ADAM is Ocelot's alternative codename, whose real name happens to be----Shalashaska .

  • @filipeflower

actually you dont know is real name Frank Jaeger was a name he got back in the war before he was in foxhound or a cyborg ninja

the name literaly translates into Frank Hunter

  • Why are you telling me stuff I already know ?

  • @filipeflower because you said his real name is Frank Jeager which it isnt...

  • Well, it's not my fault the game's manual actually says that .

  • ADAM IS SPIDER MAN!!!!

  • A cornered fox ist more dangerous than a jakal...!

  • Christ, the voice act is so baaad in this version.

  • HOW DO YOU GET SPIDER MAN SUIT?

  • whait is this the same room as you fight vamp in mgs4

  • @MrPlaystationboy yes it is the same room

  • @MrPlaystationboy You mean was thsi the same room where REX was destroyed in MGS1? Yes.

  • As much as I love Metal Gear and Solid snake.... snake was gay in this fight.

  • Dam, This game looks so much better on the gamecube. Why didn`t I buy this when I had one :(

  • 4:06 i know Ocelot was like "Justice served >:D "

  • he look like spiderman why?

  • Very painful death if you ask me.....

  • So why didn't Fox kill Liquid at the seemingly dozen other opportunities? Why did he wait until he was in a giant robot that was impervious to his attacks?

  • @NotTooWellKnown

Hey yeah, considering he can be invisible and is super sneaky, probably wouldn't be that hard.

  • @NotTooWellKnown Wasn't his job to kill liquid, was his job to kill dr. clark

  • 8:05 Snake is thinking "maybe I can give a sword like this to a blond, effeminate, pussy-whipped pretty boy in the future...nah that'd be silly."

  • 4:00 Liquid is FIRIN' HIS LAZOR!!! BLAAAAAH!!!

  • @AdamSpencer87

i played this game for few years.I was a child, and now i see cuting things. Are you play this game on your PC or on the Ps1 ? I want this game please too.;)

  • @MultiLegend94 This game is for Gamecube, it's a remake of the PSX version.

  • @AdamSpencer87 can i play this game for ps3 ? can i download from the ps store?

  • @jonhjacksnake I think you can download the psx version of mgs but this is thee gamecube version get psx version it may have crappier graphics but i think its alot better than this version.

  • @AdamSpencer87 And the remake sucks. Go play the ps1 version. They really over-did some of these scenes. The should've just left as it was.

  • es mucho mas expresivo esta escena en version de españa

  • woah fox was crushed badly

  • This was a good remake...but I think they should have waited longer before doing it. Making it with graphics better than MGS4 but keeping the original dialog and sounds would be beyond epic. Anyone who says the original is not better is so stupid. I mean...when the hell did snake become a fucking acrobat??

  • awesome cutscene. whomever says that twin snakes isnt as good as the origonal is simply being a fanboy. this game was amazing.

  • why is on best cuality the game??

  • aguante gray fox

  • JODER!

  • did gray fox just say his name sounds better from deep throat

  • I say fox fared a pit better against rex in this version than in ps1 version

  • It would be awesome if you can use the sword as a Weapon, like MGS2

  • foXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • gray looks like dead pool

  • japan thought spider man vs rex would amuse us.well it did

  • this is...dark...

  • now we know why there is no 4th spiderman

  • my only problem with this game is that the music from the ps1 was more epic and made u feel sorry for the characters. while here its more like just pure action.

  • daaaaamn, when i first saw 4:19 i thought some more fighting was about to happen but i soon realize that Grey Fox gets fuckin owned...sad moment for him, that seemed painful.

  • better in psx i thing

  • imo growing up with only playing the original, this, for me kills the scene, the original is soooooo much better...

  • wtf?! what did they do to the voices thanks for arse raping one of the best games ever made silicon knights

  • @vegeta0123 lol, you seriously thought it was a good idea to have a black guy do voiceovers for a white man? it never fit to me at all...

  • this is absolutely fucking awful compared ot the original

  • gray fox is badass

  • to much blood

  • its me, or grey fox looks like spider-man?

  • This is one of the few parts I think is better in the remake

  • i liked both the fox voice actors

although i liked ocelots ps1 voice better

  • I think you guys are being a bit too hard on the new voice acting.

Personally, I find Paulsen's version to be more realistic than Eagles'. After looking back at his entire life, he really ought to be sounding more like he's trying to be happy to finally be at death's door for good, only for him to not even be able to find any good in it either. That monotonous voice really works. As for his shouting when blasting the radome, you'd be surprised at how people's voices can change on adrenaline.

  • I agree with rEtENEKE

  • Comment removed

  • @rEtENEKE i dont know i really liked the robotic voice badass

  • rEtENEKE ,I'm sorry aboput replying to your comment after 1 whole year, but your comment isn't very convincing.

  • @filipeflower Oh, it's all good. But, uh, how's it not very convincing?

  • I mean, it's not like you're an expert on human anatomy or anything like that.

  • @filipeflower Well, alright. But how would you know that? As a matter of fact, this isn't a normal human being we're talking about. This is a weaponized human killing machine. I doubt they would have made him so easy to stop.

  • Maybe you should ask yourself the same question. Also, the term "normal" is very relative, if you ask me. And even if he is hard to stop, he still has the same human characteristics as anyone else. Like feeling pain or falling in love (Natasha Marcova, remember ?). So he shouldn't be talking out loud like that after beeing pinned against a wall so heavily. Instead of accepting this, you just creative whatever bullcrap theories you see fit to justify something that you aren't an expert at.

  • @filipeflower Eh? Perhaps I should chop that tree down outside my house. And burn everything that looks like it can be used as camoflage for observing me in my room. Matter of fact, I should probably warn my grandma too.

In all seriousness, though, I don't recall making up any theories, let alone bullcrap ones. As for normal being relative, well then I'll ask my gym partners about their routines to enlarge their mechanical muscles. Maybe even ask them what model of mecha balls they have.

  • I don't see what your tree or your burn has to do with this, but whatever.

You don't recall? Then I'll recall for you. Read your previous comments again. Carefully read them, letter by letter. You didn't provide any official material that supports your fan-made theories that were created to justify the unnecessary inconsistencies that the people made in this game. And yet you acted so sure of yourself like it's all fine. And I don't see what your gym partners have to do with this either.

  • @filipeflower Oh, good, I'm safe, then. I see what you mean, now. Alright, then, but why didn't you mention that before? Not that it matters, seeing as how fans can find genius ways to fill in the blanks. And besides, what's your theory, then? Is there anything that backs up what you believe?

  • Same old trick. When someone comes up with stuff like this and realizes that stuff can't be prooven, that someone asks ther other someone to proove his point. That trick is old and cliché and (quite frankly) it doesn't amuse me anymore. First of all, if you were the first one who started that, you should be the one to proove it first, not me. Unlike you, I didn't create any theories to "fill in the blanks" (as you say it). I actually researched this and Jaeger's voice should not be like that .

  • @filipeflower Care to share the results with the rest of the class, then? Speaking of which, I wasn't trying to be amusing. Considering how adamant you're being, I was under the impression you had a better understanding of what should've happened and I thought you'd like to share what you know and enlighten me from being complete moron who tries to make excuses for pathetic performances rather than cynically and cleverly pointing them out.

    This is a good conversation.

  • #1- Class? I thought this wasn't a school.

#2- What I tried to mention before (which I couldn't because of my lack of space) is that Frank Jaeger's voice should not sound like that after beeing pinned heavily against a wall with that brutality. He survived, but he still suffered heavy damage because of that, which also alters his voice. It's a basic phisics thing. No one can escape from this, no matter how "super" you are considered. And yet Rob made a mistake by using his "normal" voice.

  • Why didn't I mention that before? Oh, I didn't know you were depending on me to mention little stuff like that, (considering that you appear to use your brain in an independent way), so I didn't think it was necessary for me to mention that to you. But anyway, that little theory of yours is complete bullcrap. And I highly doubt you even tried testing it. Jaeger's voice should not sound like that after beeing pinned heavily against a wall with that kind of brutality. No one is free from this.

  • @filipeflower Crushed lungs, then? Fine, then, that's plausible. But is that as plausible as Old Snake dragging himself through a corridor of microwaves by the tips of his fingers?

I wasn't depending on you to mention it. I just thought it would be nice if you did, that's all. Manners matter. But considering that most of his body has turned into a machine, I can easily imagine him overcoming the pain and damage for one last sputter before short-circuiting.

  • Besides, it's not as if he didn't genuinely sound as though he were about to die after he emptied his laser cannon. Those last lines before he was crushed were haunting. Though, of course, free to disagree after all.

  • Uh, I don't think you caught all my comments here. Try again.

  • I thought being on the brink of death in that situation was kind of equivalent to being heavily damaged. The difference in his voice here and other parts may be subtle, but it's there.

  • If that's what you meant, that is.

  • Again, you're ignoring my other comments. Try clicking on "View All" to really catch on.

  • Old Snake is from 'Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the The Patriots'. That doesn't count here, since we're talking about a past different game on a different past story (don't try to use that as an excuse next time). But anyway, that doesn't justify what they did here. Since this is a remake and considering that you used the term "realistic", you should agree that it is more realistic to use a "raspy" voice in this situation, instead of a healthy voice that doesn't seem to be affected at all .

  • @filipeflower How does it not qualify? And I was referring to the way he spoke in general, not in regards to this particular situation when I said "realistic". Is his non-emoting bad because it doesn't express how sad his situation is? Frankly, having lost the ability to really care about anything anymore or express yourself to the people you really love can be far more tragic than crying over every bad thing that happens to you. That's for others in general.

  • And I think it's obvious how much of his body is a machine considering the only organic part of him you see is his face and the fact that they built him back up after he was blown apart by a landmine. And I gave it another listen and he definitely doesn't sound healthy.

  • #1- Just because we only saw his face, that doesn't mean every other part of his body is messed up. I mean, it's not like we have X-ray vision (like Superman) or that we planned that from the start (like Hideo Kojima). I still have doubts as to how many parts of Gray Fox's body still remain almost the same way as his face.

#2- What source of information says that Gray Fox was blown apart by a landmine? That's like the 10th time I hear that bullcrap again! 3 years ago, Jesus Christ !

  • @filipeflower The Metal Gear Wiki, which, might I add, cites almost all of its information. Now, I know it's not official, but it's not as though it's extremely unlikely he could have been blown apart by one after Snake beat him. They were fighting barehanded in a minefield during Metal Gear 2. There has to be some wiggle-room, after all.

  • I knew it! You rely on that OnLine encyclopedia which can be altered by any fanboy of this franchise for whatever selfish reasons or mis-interpretations they have. A long time ago, when I first looked at information about Gray Fox on that same website, it didn't say anything about him beeing blown apart by a landmine and years later, when I returned to that same Wiki...it suddenly says he was blown apart by a landmine? I mean, what the *EFF*? That's what several fanboys have been claimming!

  • @filipeflower And what's wrong with using a wiki? A wiki with a piece of information that makes little to no sense for anyone to edit for "selfish" reasons. From what I can tell, your militancy doesn't really make you look all that different from these fanboys. Just because the information was there years later doesn't mean it's fake or anything.

  • What's wrong is that there are people who, in fact, edit that information on wikis like those for their own selfish reasons. There are fanboys who do that. You may not believe it, but this is the truth. That is why I have to make sure this information isn't a trick. If you believe that wikis are 100% trustworthy, then you're beeing naïve (also, I don't know what "militancy" means). Oh, and don't you even think about mistaking me for those fanboys, because you don't know me well .

  • Comment removed

  • (before you reply to this comment, make sure you read the other ones that you missed) The fact that this information wasd added to the Wiki years later is enough to make a person feel suspicious. I mean, if this was true all along, then why didn't they mentioned this before? Is Gray Fox's death by a landmine such a huge-butt secret (compared to the other stuff we've seen so far)? Bullcrap! Nothing in the games says he died because of a landmine and the M.G.S.4 database is not true 100%.

  • @filipeflower yes he did died of a landmine, since he faced snake in hand to hand combat in the middle of a mine field...snake just knocked him into a mine and boom...what did you expect?.

  • I expected people (including the writting staff) to be more honest with themselves (and others, if possible). First of all, just because they fought barehanded in a minefield, that doesn't mean a landmine was the cause of Gray Fox's death. Secondly, nothing in the video-games says that Gray Fox died because of a landmine. And I don't believe in the Metal Gear Wiki, because that can be altered, just like Wikipedia. And third...that explosion wasn't literal. It was a visual metaphor .

  • It doesn't count, because that's a different game (which I never mentioned in my previous comment, unlike you) that was only made years later (and 'Metal Gear Solid 4' has more bullcrap than this game here). When I reffer to 'Metal Gear Solid 4', we'll talk about 'Metal Gear Solid 4'. But for now, let's focus on this one. And just to remind you, he does have emotions, but the condition he's in just doesn't let him do that properly. And apparently someone from the staff over-looked that.

  • You don't know how much of his body is "machine", so don't say "most" unless you can proove it. And your imagination might be carrying you away, because even though he survived that, his body still suffered damage and so did his voice. However, Rob Paulsen used his normal healthy voice instead in this scene. I have nothing against Rob (since he voiced my favorite Ninja Turtle), but couldn't he pay attention to this? Either this was his fault or someone in charge of the direction messed up here.

  • I agree there, I loved how Fox sounded in the original one, and he looks pretty impressive in this one, but the voices in this one were a bit too hard, but Liquid sounds how he should be (a heartless bastard in this version and should of in the original), but Fox is emotional, as he and Solid, sound how they should in the original, and that matrix crap is what ruined it. I'm such a big fan of Fox, and I felt sorry for him. He was suffering and wanted his pain to end, and not be a killer anymore.

  • Theres a massive lack of emotion in the dialogue here, unlike in the original game. Fox doesn't sound half as "hard" and they got rid of a few classic lines like "everytime I looked at her, I saw her parent's eyes looking back at me" etc. Also, the whole "matrix element" is way over the top!

  • I can dig the animation, even the cinematics, but the dialogue is changed and i think the original one is better. parts like "he prayed for his death, and it found him" are classics. Shame on Kojima for letting change this.

  • i just hate the idea of them making this. I know i'll get 40 thumbs down, but the original is just so much better. David hayter doesn't sound as badass in Twin snakes as he did in the others. I'm ashamed. Aw well. I still love MGS1, substance, snake eater, and GOTP. CANT WAIT FOR RISING!!!!

  • if that was spiderman and he had a sword he would defenatly be out of charicter lol

  • Man its been so long since Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes came out and I still cant get over that they killed Grey Fox...

  • i cant get over Olga died.

  • spiderman saves snake! xD

  • @vejitasam Megaman saves snake

  • JODER!

  • howd you get the suit?

  • End the game 2 times. The third time you'll be wearing it.

  • @AdamSpencer87 any diffuculty?

  • @LegendOfLink5130

play two time with 2 different ending (otacon & meryl). at the 3rd time you will get this suit!

  • am i the only that thinks he looks like spiderman?

  • ...Nope, sorry Grey Fox, I can't un-hear Raphael the Turtle's voice.

  • guys how do you get a romote control missle

  • O_O the Tux snake was annoying lol clear both endings i had troulbe on Extreme on PSX coz my arm got sore after the 4th part on the torture machine

  • I'LL SEND YOU BACK TO HELL!

  • i just got this game so is this how thiss game ends

  • snake+tuxedo=win

  • yep but then after he died the got the new megaman, not as good as grayfox v.v

  • What the fuck? Grayfox is megaman?

  • Jeez twin snakes was an ugly game. They sshould have waited longer before they made a remake.

  • man i would have love to use hreyfoxes sword on this game

  • yeah.when my brother and I were at that scene and he was taking the sword up we were like:"yes YES YEEESS"

then when he slashed it into the ground

we were like:"NOOOOO SNAAAAAKE aww who cares he's better on with his fists" xD
